Paul needs to quit jacking threes and turning the ball over. Let's feed Meyers.

Apparently players think "on fire" means making two 3's. I mean if I were a coach and you made 6, sure go ahead and take one. But my God, 2/3 from 3 does not give you the right to just start launching.

Illinois' offense is entirely frustrating to watch when the "motion" becomes "everybody stand around and jack up threes and hope they go in".

The program clearly bottomed out with the season that shall not be named.

Since then, recruiting has been where it should be (or better) for Illinois, on the court they've been a 5 seed(24-10, 11-7, 24 KenPom), a tournament snub(21-15, 10-8, 53 KenPom), and a 9 seed (20-14, 9-9, 18 KenPom). '08-'09 was a success, '09-'10 was a disappointment, '10-'11 was a failure. Considering where the program was at that time, that's still bad, but not horrific. The problem is whether the program has plateaued on the court. This team will be back in the tourney this year, but if we're looking at an 8 seed on Selection Sunday, and see no better on the horizion for '12-'13, nothing short of a Parker or Okafor(or choose your recruit du jour) commit should be enough to save Weber's job.

I agree with this. I don't see him keeping his job.

if he gets into the sweet 16 he keeps his job, but i seriously doubt MT is going to put up with this [expletive] around any longer.

HOW COULD THAT BE THE SHOT

WTF was he doing?? If that was the shot with 2 seconds left it would still blow, but at least it wouldn't give Minnesota a chance. Why in the [expletive] are you shooting a run up 3 pointer with 8 seconds left? You're a 5th year senior, not Alex Legion

No doubt Leonard is a lottery pick.

But when? He made so many bad passes out of the corner tonight. Talent is there, decision making is not.

Also, Sam Maniscalco has to be one of the slowest guards I have EVER seen play. He runs like an oompa loompa.

In his defense, and I hate him, he's pretty injured.

I'm not too fond of Sam either, but he does some good things for the team. Sam has a way of getting the gritty baskets, but he is too slow on defense. I thought Tracy gave us a clear boost off the bench, but until he improves his decision making, we will need to depend on Sam. I was troubled by the amount of turnovers off of passes last night.

It has been great to see Joey B's emergence the last couple games, he brings a dynamic athleticism we have been missing. Paul needs to be banned from shooting jumpers in practice.

Meyers is still very very raw, unfortunately, I don't think it will keep him in school past this season. When the money is there, you get it.

Purdue peeps, what's the latest on LewJack for tonight?

Purdue's Rivals staff just released their Iowa game preview and listed him as a projected starter. They are the ones that mentioned him undergoing tests for a stress fracture so I'm assuming they would know if he was going to be out. At least I hope that's the case.
