Gasaway had an interesting point on twitter the other day, tonight is the first game where KU is clearly inferior from a talent perspective in at least 5 years.

that's probably true. I could probably dig around and find a few games where it was close (vs UNC in 08 could be argued, and a few of the Texas teams might have had close to equal talent), but this is definitely the weakest KU team in a while. TRob will be triple teamed all year. This definitely resembles Self's early KU teams talent-wise more than the ones we've had the last few years.

 

I don't know if it will get much better next year, either. Self hasn't recruited very well the last few years.

The four D1 schools in the state play a round robin every year. I guess because Iowa and ISU are generous, cause there is no other explanation.

Kevin Durant was more talented than that entire KU team, so Gasaway is wrong. Also the 08 UNC team, had as much if not more talent. But yeah, it's not very often.
