Looks like some of the neon on the marquee is out too.

If Wrigley gets wrecked by the storm, maybe that'll add some impetus to more fundamental repairs.

Or just take money from the scouting/draft budget.

I would imagine/hope that the cost of repairs would be covered by insurance.

It's said "Go Cubs" the entire winter. Part of the "Wrigley" might be newly effed up, though

Did you miss that huge chunk of roof lying on the street/sidewalk next to the police SUV?

Nice to see that the old gal survived all of these (mostly) intact.

They really need to overhaul the guts of the marquee - it's been blinking out on a regular basis for months, since early last summer at least.

Just turn it into public housing and build a new stadium near the airport.

Agreed. Turn them into the Schaumburg Cubs so they're more easily available for me to watch in person.

If I was driving that SUV I'm not sure thats where I would have parked.

That's a cop protecting the area.

Oh I know. I just feel like with stuff falling down I'd rather be on the other side of the street.

The Village of Skokie just took over a bunch of property near 94 and the Skokie Swift extension of the Red Line. Of course they think developers will flock to them with plans. Not in USA 2011. Let them build a ballpark there and bail the Village out of their idiotic ideas of government planned development.

The concept of a major league ballpark in Skokie strikes me as sort of hilarious, given the town. Yes, I get that Skokie with an MLB ballpark would be very different than Skokie at the moment, I'm just saying.

Instead of no Saturday night games, there will be exclusively Saturday night games (after sunset).

Nothing like getting out of a night game to find that everything closed at 10 PM and 60% of the town's residents went to bed hours ago.

There's a bunch of Section 8 housing west of the proposed Golda Meier Stadium. Condemn it, send the people to the Wrigley Field Projects, and relocate the Wrigleyvile establishments in West Skokie. There's already a firehouse there.

Hey you know who that would piss off? The scores of people who live in Wrigleyville and East Lakeview in general. Like me! But yeah, lets tear everything down and build public housing!!!!
