Wow that Eagles secondary is going to be good, 3 pro bowl corners. Could be the NFC champions this year. They have the D and offense to do it.

Speculation is that they'll trade Samuel which makes sense.

yeah, i can't see them carrying all three guys, and they're not going to turn around and deal away cromartie-rodgers right away.

i'd miss samuel's smarts in jumping routes, but if we can upgrade by acquiring a pass rusher then i'd be very happy.

5/60 and 25 guaranteed is an incredibly reasonable price. Wish the Bears would've pursued him.

He would have been a waste in the cover 2.

Peyton Manning has reportedly agreed to a 5-year, $90 million extension with the Colts. This would tie him with Tom Brady as the highest paid player in the league. Jim Irsay had stated that he planned to make Manning the highest paid player in the game, but Manning wanted to take less and leave more money for signing other players.

AdamSchefter: Eagles already are referring to themselves as "The Dream Team".

Let's not get too carried away or anything.

Vince Young said that in his press conference. It was pretty casual...I'm sure he meant it was a dream landing spot for him.

And Philly gets Cullen Jenkins...jesus.

But apparently he'll make $23 million each of the next 3 years.

The Vikings apparently pulled out of the mix for Braylon.

They just signed Michael Jenkins from the Falcons. They had an offer out to James Jones also but not sure if that still stands now.

In honor of VY, here's a Skip Bayless article from 2006 where he says that Young is Jordan-esque.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=bayless/060113

This young man has a 6-foot-5, 235-pound blend of talent and intangibles never before seen in a quarterback.

That's probably correct. I'm guessing they were not what Bayless thought they were.

Also

Indeed, if Reggie Bush avoids knee surgery, he'll be a Hall of Famer.
(not that I didn't think Bush would be better, and yes, I know that he has had knee surgery, although probably not what Skip was thinking of)

Yeah, what I should have said is that his average salary will tie Brady.

Stephen Tulloch to the Lions, Barrett Ruud signed by the Titans to replace him.

I'm not familiar enough with Ruud to say for sure, but my first reaction is this is a losing trade by the Titans.

i'm a little amazed we (a team that has to overpay FAs) got a productive 26-year old here for just $3.2M

Wright, Houston, Durant and Tulloch is a great start to FA in my book - only disappointment is missing on J. Joseph

For some reason I'm a little sad Moss is retiring. Never been a huge fan either way of his but was arguably the most dominate WR I have ever seen and a lot of fun to watch. His career numbers are insane when you look at the wasted seasons he had.

Glad he will no longer torch the Cowboys though.

I had the luxury of watching Jerry Rice. That man was insane.

Jason Taylor signs with the Dolphins. I'm confused...why did they let him go in the first place?

This is his 3rd time with the Dolphins.

I'll always remember that game in 1998 where Moss had like 200 receiving yards on Monday night against the Packers. Granted, I won't remember it in a good way, but even as pissed as I was I knew he was something special. It's too bad he was such an ass.
