This doesn't relate to the playoff game or anything but with the talk of how bad our WR's are. Any interest in TO in the offseason? He was productive for Cincy and didn't cause any problems that I can remember. Yes, no, hell no?

Yeah he did. He threw people under the bus early in the year without naming names. Then toward the end of the season he blamed the front office and coaching staff for the piece of crap team.

I prefer that they sign 1 offensive lineman, and draft 2. I'd like a new starting guard (either side, cut Garza or move Williams back to compete at OT) and center. I'd also like a backup anywhere. But I think they need 1 veteran prescence that's actually a good player. And they need at least 1 high draft pick in the mix.

I'd lean toward letting Williams stay at LG, because he has been decent in the run game and was a 1st round pick. A solid vet, a 1st round pick, and a 1st or 2nd round pick means at least 3 of the 5 OL have top end talent/ability.

They need to draft O-line early and often.

Maybe they shouldn't. Just playing devil's advocate here -- if Angelo sucks at OLine eval, then having him pick a bunch of OLine guys might be playing to his weakness, which would equal more busts.

I think Angelo needs an offensive talent eval guy to feed him the right picks on the offensive side of the ball. Call him the GM version of Martz, to Angelo's Lovie.

They overhauled their scouting dept after last year. I wouldn't let previous failure dictate them from improving their greatest need.

It's funny that Williams' strength is run and weakness is pass protection since it was the other way around coming into the draft.

Gotta sign a starter in free agency and get 2 guys in the draft (preferably top 3 rounds).

I'd have to find a link but minnesota and UK are right about the overhaul in drafting and scouting.

Webb doesn't appear to possess the speed to regularly stop a quick DE/OLB to the outside. Wouldn't he be better off moving to RG and then drafting a RT?

Yeah, Webb definitely doesn't have the speed to play RT. I think it would be better to draft an LT and move Omiyale/free agent to RT.

Speaking of slow offensive linemen, I was watching the Bears without sound. Every time Bulaga screwed up, the cameras zoomed in on him and focused on just him. I swear his 15 minutes of fame have been burned up. What was the talk?

Fun game to be at. Most of the Bear fans that I was around were actually pretty classy. Obviously every fan base will have a couple d-bag fans, but I was surprised by how respectful and nice the Bear fans were.

It's amazing how nice a fan base can be when they aren't playing for anything because they already clinched the division that both teams compete in. Bears fans don't have much to be grumpy about seeing as the team pleasantly surprised most fans this year. Thus we're less likely to lash out at fans of our arch rivals. I think that makes sense.

and i'm sure these classy fans were serenaded with a rousing, drunken chorus of the "the bears still suck" as they left.

The talk was how Bulaga's going to be a great OL in spite of the screw up. Basically the usual blah-blah.
