if not for the lucky catch by celek that was ten times as fortunate as harris's deflection, it would have been a double-digit victory.

if it weren't for the refs the bears probably would have won by 75 points.

if it weren't for the fans, the eagles wouldn't be so unlikeable.

says the most unlikeable sports fan in the history of the universe.

Rams-Seahawks is the Sunday night game next week. We are the NFL's charity case of the year!

It's the only game that is meaningful regardless of other games that are played earlier in the day.

I know that, but given how terrible St. Louis and Seattle are, I figured NBC would find Chicago-Green Bay more enticing. I'm almost positive STL-Seattle tanks in the ratings.

Am I mistaken, or did the last game mean nothing for seattle? seems that win or lose, week 17 winner still gets the division. wonder if they rested the regulars.

I was away from the tv/computer almost all of yesterday, were people criticizing the postponement of the Eagles game? From all of the pictures that I keep seeing it looks like an average December day in the midwest/northeast.

Not nearly enough.

It was terrible in northern NJ, but Philly panicked unnecessarily.

i wonder how much money this will cost NBC. would've had big ratings, most people at home in front of tv, lots of people not working monday.

Yeah. Last game meant nothing.

And btw, according to Peter King, the NFL chooses who gets flexed in week 17, and has rules about how it is the game most likely to have playoff implications, regardless of teams.

Wonder how Giants fans feel about this...

“I'm actually cool with this place. I went to school in Coffeyville, Kansas, it's sort of just like this, probably a little smaller. It's cool for me. I'm alright,” said Jacobs.

While some players said they were anxious to get out of Wisconsin, Jacobs said he could handle calling it home.

“If push came to shove and Green Bay offered me an opportunity to extend my career as a Packer...count me in,” said Jacobs.

I'd love it, but the timing of that last quote is extremely odd. He sure seems to say some really stupid [expletive].

I don't care how it plays out. I just want the Bears in the playoffs, and embarrass them at home.

Wasn't it enough that you embarrassed us once at home already?

You won on a last-second FG. It's not like you won by 4 TD's. I stand behind everything I said Week 3, so I won't rehash it here. Even with all the penalties and such the Bears still had their hands full all game long.

We can beat the Bears in Chicago or Green Bay. Bring them on. Nothing would be sweeter than ending their season on their home field and sending all the Bears fans home crying.

In Chicago or Green Bay huh? Tought talk considering the Packers already lost in Chicago.

Can you beat the Bears anywhere else? How about in Detroit? Or are the Lions the only team you have trouble with there?

Yeah, because no team has ever lost a game on the road during the regular season and then won there in the regular season.

Wow, Tirico just had one of the great announcer jinxes of all time.

ATL first and goal from the 1: "No team has failed to score against New Orleans with 1st and goal from the 1 since 1998"

*next play*

Turner fumbles and NO recovers.

Should have just taken the sack on that one, Drew.

Man, I just looked back at that thread. What a mess that was.

In fact, here's a link! http://www.northsidebaseball.com/forum/topic?f=44&t=58319

Some of my best work. Man, you guys got PISSSSSSED. It was funny.

You probably shouldn't admit trolling. And you probably shouldn't provide links to it.

It wasn't really trolling. At first I was legitimately pissed about the result of the game, but as it went on I was more amused by some of the responses from the board. I did and still do believe that if the Packers had won that game on a last-second field goal after 170-some yards of penalty help from the Bears, Bears fans would have said they handed the Packers that game.

lol, he's acting like he was the one that was getting under peoples' skin. that's cute.

Wow... Brees sure has fallen off. Second in the league in ints.

lol, fallen off? yah, if INT's is how you measure a good QB, and it isn't. He's first in completion %, second in TD's, third in passing yards.

To be fair, passing yards isn't a really good way to measure how good a QB is either.
