Is he good?

The Bears were going to take Paea in the first if Carimi was gone, so at the very least they loved him.

Paea was the guy I really wanted for the Colts in the second round (although I was fine with the guy they took). From what I have read about him, he should be good for the Bears as well.

Should be a fine replacement for the spot vacated by Tommie Harris three years ago (he was finally released this offseason).

Expecting the Patriots to take at least one Illinois player in the next 5 picks. Edited by bukie

I'm just thankful that the Giants took Austin. The Bears would've had a scary good first two rounds if Austin fell past New York.

From what it sounds like, the Bears would have taken Paea even if Austin was still on the board.

what's the report on paea, draftgeeks?

I think Paea had the best bench of anybody at the combine. He's a very powerful DT.

Best bench of anyone at the combine EVER. Broke the record with 49 reps.

Well you can never have too many good linemen but the Bears need to find a WR who can run a route correctly and isn't a midget.

Lots of quantity but not much quality at the receiver position. No need to force a pick this early.
