Interesting pics of some of the draft prospects back when they were in high school to now. I think Von Miller was starved to death prior to college.

Oh yeah? Care to share, or should I continue to use my imagination?

Why in the world is Dalton projected 12 now?

No one has any idea what's going on with the QB's. Clayton is hearing Gabbert could fall to 12 and the Vikings, Gosselin has 5 QB's going in the top 12. Locker is anywhere from 8 to late 1st. Dalton, Ponder and Mallett are all over the map from 10-40.

I'm just picturing last year where McCoy went in the 3rd round then Dalton going 12th and trying to justify paying that slot for him.

NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora told a Miami radio show Thursday morning that he believes the Dolphins will draft Kaepernick with the 15th overall pick.

WTF? This draft is going to be awesome.

1. Newton

Gabbert in the top 7.

Rumors of Tenn going Dalton at 8.

Locker may go 10-12

Kaepernick at #15.

Keep sending Gabe Carimi and/or Mike Pouncey down to 29.

I thought you didn't like Carimi.

EDIT: Looking back through your posts, maybe I imagined that.

Can't say I'm excited about the possibility of the Titans going Locker/Dalton at 8. If the most recent rumors of nearly every QB in the draft coming off the board by 15, then it makes sense for the Titans to go ahead and get their QB, I'm just not that big a fan of either.

Locker has some nice physical abilities, but there's a lot of risk for a guy who doesn't just blow you away with his potential and upside. He's a very high character player - which is a big plus for a QB - but there are other high character QBs in this draft I like more than Locker (Kaepernick, Gabbert especially).

Dalton just feels like a "safe" pick. He's a guy with a very high floor and is very likely to be at least a decent NFL QB and he could probably start next year, but what's his ceiling? I don't think the physical tools give him room to be much more than a solid starter and you really should set your sights higher than that at #8.

If those are the two players the Titans are looking at, I'd much rather they give up a mid round pick or two to move up ahead of Arizona and San Fran and take Gabbert.

I'm probably as big a Kaepernick fan as there is out there, but 15 would be way, way too high for a guy who probably won't be ready to start for, at best, 2 seasons. A ton of upside, but way too raw to even consider before the early portion of the second round.

QB's will be going higher than they should because we've had not free agency to fill a lot of teams' QB spots. I expect to see a lot of over-drafting this year

even signing [expletive] Drew Stanton to an offer sheet with his original 2nd round tender seems like a smarter idea than reaching on any of these mentioned QBs and paying them slot money

Exactly. I'd rather "miss" on these 1st round QBs if I were these teams. Get a better prospect at a different position and you would be paying them closer to their actual value.

I realize nothing can happen yet, but I would take Vince Young over any of the guys not names Gabbert and Newton. And I would maybe take him over them as well.

WTF is the difference between Tebow and Newton?

Both are big, strong, athletic QBs with poor throwing motions out of stripped-down, easy offenses that played in the SEC against the best non-NFL competition there is and won a national title(s in Tebow's case) and a Heisman. Tebow at least has that "great leader" intangible, or whatever. While it's universally agreed on that Newton is a scam artist.

Everyone was shocked that Tebow went in the first round (rightfully so) and Newton is going to be the No. 1 pick? I don't see it.
