What a bunch of clowns on the field and in the stands at Auburn. Don't worry this will all be vacated soon and your program will be buried.

I wish the Vikings could draft Aaron Murray in April.

So Auburn's D-line decided to take as many cheap-punk hits on the opposing QB as possible, and for their trouble they now have two guys suspended for the 1st half against Alabama.

Your post is misleading. AU was penalized for one late hit on UG's QB during the entire game. The play that pissed Georiga off and hurt their QB wasn't even called a late hit. Fairley could have been penalized on that play I guess, but he was falling and his helmit hit the QB's knee of shin on the way down. The officials thought it was incidental contact, but it definitely would have been called a late hit in the NFL.

Regarding the ejections, Georgia's offensive line tried to retalliate against Fairley on the next play taking cheap shots while Fairley was on the ground. Backup DE, Michael Goggans then took a swing in Fairley's defense and was ejected. He will miss the first half of the Bama game. I didn't see what happened on the next play, but backup DT Mike Blac evidently also threw a punch and was ejected. He will also miss the first half of the Alabama game. Both are backups, but that will hurt AU's chances at beating Bama for sure.

It's all a circus, the season is sullied, and I really don't give a damn about any of it anymore.

One of them was Nick Fairley, right? He was applying a few late hits. That would be a big blow as he's their best defensive player.

ETA: I guess not.

Unless someone can prove (or MSU coaches are willing to testify) that Cam knew about his dad's shake down of MSU, then Cam will continue to play per my understanding. If at any point it is proven that Cam knew of his father's actions, then AU will sit Cam, and AU's wins will be vacated.

Regarding future sanctions, unless it's proven that Auburn was involved in a pay for play situation, then they will not be buried.

I'm not defending anyone or anything. I'm pretty sure these are the facts.

btw - i didn't realize you were allowed to get pressure on a QB with just 4 players. That certainly makes playing defense a little easier. Now I can see why other teams have been doing it.

wow, PSU made that look easy

too bad about Persa. How is the backup?

The backup is Evan Watkins.

He was pretty highly recruited out of HS, is a big guy (6'6, 230) and has a cannon arm. The problem is, he's not nearly as elusive as Persa despite being pretty quick. It'll be harder for him to buy time in the pocket as he's more of a pro-style QB.

Should make for an interesting game next week.

He has deceptive speed at 6'6''. He's not necessarily fast, but he is mobile. I'd imagine Illinois is going to bring as much pressure as possible. McCall will have to call for some shorter routes and show faith in Watkins' decision making and ability to see over the line and pass over the middle. But they'll also have to mix in more deep balls to keep them honest. It's the long passes across the field for 5 yards that Persa makes rather easily that worry me with Watkins.

Texas's punter just had a line-drive punt. I don't mean a low punt, I mean a punt that never got much over head level. It went 56 yards. If he could do that every time, he'd be a god.

lol @ oregon st

TCU taking a huge hit today.

Hurts Boise too.

On the plus side for Boise, Virginia Tech won again.

Justin Blackmon is better than Dez Bryant.

Oregon just fumbled at their 2 and it was returned by Cal for a touchdown. Oregon is only up 15-13 pending the PAT.

ETA: They went for 2 and missed.

TD Cal but they miss the two-point conversion.

15-13 Oregon with nine minutes left in the third.

What a huge win for Tennessee today. I figured this would be our most likely loss this month, so beating Ole Miss is huge for our bowl hopes. Kentucky's still going to be really tough, but we'll have the extra momentum of the 29-game winning streak and an imminent bowl berth (with a win) on our side.

Bray looked really good for the most part today, though we caught more than a couple breaks. He made some really questionable decisions with throws into coverage, but no dumb throws. And Justin Hunter is ridiculously athletic, the kid's going to be a stud. I'm also a big Eric Gordon fan.

Just two wins away from a bowl berth. Please beat Vandy and Kentucky.

That was a great catch by Maehl down the sideline, especially getting the one foot down.

What happened to Cal? They were going for a FG at the end of the 3rd and time ran out in the quarter. I changed channels and when I came back, they didn't make it?

They made it the first time but had an illegal formation. The second try from the left hash the kicker pulled all the way across the upright and missed it wide right. Maybe a 30-yarder.

If you're asking whether a Cal football team failed to capitalize on a golden opportunity then I think you already know the answer.

(Yeah, they missed it)

They wasted two timeouts in the 3rd quarter too which is killing them now.

Oregon going to hold on.

Oregon's previous season-low in points was 42 and they were held to 15 tonight.
