The penalty on the Philly player was unfair. The other Eagles player pushed the guy into the other defender in a split second. You can't change your motion in a split second so you don't hit his head.

the nfc west leader is down by 5 TDs at home. what an awful division.

And they gave up 545 yards and 33 points to a team that has 49 yards and no points at halftime today.

I don't know what the NFL record for penalties in a game is, but I'm pretty sure the Raiders are going to try to break it today. Early third quarter and they have 12 for 119 yards.

Going to be tough to beat our 18 penalties that we had against the Bears.

the raiders are pretty consistent from year-to-year at taking tons of penalties, aren't they?

Yep. Looking at ESPN's stats (which go back to 2002), they've been in the top-3 in penalties each year except for 2006, when they were seventh. Even in 2002, when they made the Super Bowl, they were third.

They're first this year with 13 more now today.

Everything. Holding (offensive, defensive and during kick returns), offsides, pass interference and excessive celebration.

What league has the worst refs? I used to think it was the NBA by quite a bit, but NFL refs seem to get so many critical calls wrong.

Football games are so much more complex and have so much more going on, though.

Thanks for wasting both challenges in the first 16 minutes, Tom Cable, trying to prevent a KC TD when the Chiefs ended up with a TD anyway so you can't challenge this critical fourth quarter fumble.
