BTW, if USC gets back into the AP poll at some point, I will put them in the Top 25 tab too and I'll figure out some way to asterisk them to make clear they're not BCS-ranked.

It'll be interesting to see how badly Alabama beats us. I am interested to see what the gameplan is for Dooley coming off a bye week – and this team really needed a bye week.

I don't expect it to be close, though.

3+ loss teams:

Florida, Illinois, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, UCLA, Pittsburgh, Georgia, Penn State, Tennessee, California, Clemson

That's a pretty impressive list of teams this early in the year. Most of those teams don't usually lose 3 or more games in a season, much less in the first month and a half.

The last time Illinois lost less than 3 games in a season was 2001.

Has Clemson ever lost less than 3 games?

I think it's been since '93 for ND.

This is going to be a long week.

And probably an even longer Sunday after being let down Saturday night.

Why are Texas A&M and UCLA on this list?

Assuming no other upsets, how high does Mizzou go with a win Saturday?

How high would they go? Probably to like 8.

How high should they go if they pull it off? 2 or 3 with Oregon and the winner of LSU/Auburn going to #1.

But I'm going to stop considering the possibility, because we only came close to beating Bob Stoops once, and that was when we had 3 NFL players on defense and an engine of death on offense. We have neither this year. The only true hope is that OU does something dumb because they haven't been to a super hostile environment this year or something like that.

You can expect something akin to a Landry Jones fumble while OU is trying to close out a 1 score game.

as many others have pointed out, only Florida and maybe PSU can really claim to "not usually lose 3 or more games in a season" recently. 3 losses has been the norm or a really good season for most of those teams recently.

That's true. It just seems like a pretty prestigious list of 3 loss teams in mid-October.

I'd kill for a 3-loss season.

UCLA has had one season with 3 or fewer losses since back-to-back 10-2 seasons in 1997 and 1998.

I thought UCLA had been better than that recently – same with Illinois.

Let's see, playing at Iowa the week after the biggest game of the year for the Badgers?

Yeah, mark that down as a loss for Wisconsin.

I hope you're right.

Iowa and Michigan State have been the two biggest pains in the ass for the Badgers since I first went to Wisconsin in 2002. In a season like this, it'd figure if their two losses were to those teams.

Illinois has been to 2 bowls this decade, it's rather sad
