Damn it looks like he might have gotten it, but I can't see them overturning it as it's not at all conclusive.

Guess I'm wrong.

Enjoyable game.

I bet the Saints score before the end of regulation

It's over. Niners should have not ran out of bounds on their drive so much.

You have to score and tie the game first.

Yeah, they needed 8 points to tie. You have to hurry up because you need both the TD and the conversion, and if you don't get one of those you need an onside kick and field goal

The Saints are not that good this year, or at least they haven't shown it yet. At some point their luck on fumbles, tipped ball interceptions that fall in their lap and whatnot is going to run out. The center snapping it 15 feet over the QB's head was a new one though.

Smith looked decent enough tonight that they should still win that division with their running game, defense and some of the weapons he has.

Bitter Viking face.

Frank Gore is a freakin beast

Buddy of mine didn't start Gore in ffb this week because "he didn't like the matchup".

He started Brandon Jackson and Deangelo Williams instead, and lost by less than 4 points to his wife's team....ouch.

Little late for the "luck to run out" after they've already gotten their ring.

I suppose but last year their defense made a living off of fluky plays. Remember that Redskins game? Their defense has been like the '01 Bears that got 4,378 tipped ball interceptions. Obviously Brees is the truth and their offense is elite but damn.

Last night they got 5 points directly off of a center snapping it 12 feet in the air and a punt returner trying to field a ball as he's running out of bounds, yet it somehow landed inches from the sideline but stayed in. Then you had two tipped balls fall right into their hands for INT's in or near the red zone, along with a fumble inside the 10.

I'm just saying the 49ers outplayed them and looked like the better team last night. They weren't really impressive against the Vikings either.

Outplayed them...except for all the mistakes that the 49ers made that you just mentioned, right?

I think that the Saints probably aren't as good as they are getting credit for. First they struggle to beat a pretty crappy Vikings team, then struggle against a bad 49ers team. What happens when they face good squads?

Bush muffed a punt also. There's nothing but luck that decided the bounces and gave the Saints both recoveries. Same to be said for the tipped ball at the line of scrimmage that went directly to the Saints for an INT while the 49ers tipped at least 2-3 balls at the line of scrimmage but neither went to a DB.

Regardless they're going to have a great start because they have like 2 tough games in the next 6 weeks or so.

Hawkeye does come off as a bitter Vikings fan but his point is right. The Saints haven't been very impressive thus far.

i started the ravens over the dolphins and the ravens had 3 points while the dolphins notched 24. if i hadn't won by 25 points i'd be sick.

but i'm not implying that the vikings crapped the bed.
