I don't like this. At all.

 

Turco wasn't great his first two games but he was hardly the reason why we lost those games.

the winner he gave up to colorado in OT was kinda soft.

I really hate playing the Predators. I can barely watch the game. All the action is clogged up in the neutral zone. Neither team can really establish themselves in the others side of the ice. I just hate it.

Man, they were starting a goalie making his first ever appearance, playing their first game coming back from Europe and they beat us.

 

We've already lost 25% of the home games that we lost last year (8)

I kind of hate Nashville. Oh well, we won the cup and they didn't (that's kind of my mantra after every disappointing loss.)

I don't think theyve come close to playing their best yet. Their new players havent really played badly. I am not seeing enough out of the star players.

It's not just goals, and it doesn't apply to every player.

Exactly....we were down 2 defeners tonight, which was the most intact area of our team from last year. I have no doubt we can recover from this slow start and play much better. It's gonna take time though.

Well that sucked. Still, the Preds were a load for the Hawks last year in the playoffs and without Campbell and Hjalmarsson, I guess it wasn't too unexpected. Need Campbell back soon (obviously Hjammer too, but that's only one more game.)

I'm not going to jump to conclusions this early in the season. Pretty disappointing last night. But I'll wait and see if they can put it together over the coming months. It's a long season -- and that's a valid comment to make in mid October, despite the disappointment of these first few games.

Scott has been beyond awful, Boynton is ok as a 6th/7th defensemen i guess. Hendry is not even good enough to be that. All 3 leaving Chicago would make my life more peaceful.

Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane missed practice Thursday morning with an illness and will not make the trip to Columbus for Friday night's game, according to Coach Joel Quenneville.

 

"Kaner's sick,'' Quenneville said.

 

Kane scored a goal in Wednesday night's loss to the Predators but fell ill afterward, Quenneville said. He played in all 82 games last season.

 

Quenneville said the Hawks will have to make a roster move.

I'm so sick of Scott, Boynton, and Hendry. And it's only been four games.

 

Scott, yes. Other than the game-losing penalty last night, Boynton's been decent. And Hendry's first game was last night and I didn't think he was bad.

 

When 51 and 4 are back, they'll be fine.

 

What I've noticed so far is the 2nd and 3rd lines struggling because Brouwer and Bolland don't seem to be playing with any energy at all. They look like they are skating in quicksand.
