Koyie Hill has to have some sweet pictures of Jim and Lou.

Soto is dealing with an injury, and the season is over. The more Koyie Hill, the better at this point.

I would like to see more of Wellington Castillo. Koyie Hill isn't a big leaguer. I wish our franchise would realize that.

You realize we have Robinson Chirinos, who is putting up ridiculous numbers at AA and is the best defensive catcher in the Southern League, and Castillo who is already up, right?

Castillo would be fine to get a good look at to see if he's viable for next year. Chirinos can just stay in the minors until next year at this point. I'd rather not see Soto the rest of the year if he's hurting, though.

I don't have a problem giving him the day off the day after his first appearance.

Those guys can have the shot at backing up Soto next year. I really don't think Hill's playing time the rest of 2010 really matters.

Todays "I'm so cool because I don't care about the Cubs this season" moment:

A buddy asked me if the Cubs were playing today. I said "nope". Then I posted on NSBB on and off all afternoon, and didnt even realize there was a game thread until 5 minutes ago, when I saw that not only were they playing today, the game was 2/3rds over and they are predictably getting their butts kicked.

Colvin is a strikeout machine.

If anyone wants to pitch around him they might as well make sure someone is on base when he comes up:

.210 .289 .412 .701

RISP:

.178 .295 .411 .706

And the only reason his numbers with runners on are this "high" is because of his hitting with guys on 1st and 2nd:

.250 .500 .750 1.250

Every other scenario with runners on he has a sub-.700 OPS.
