I think Spain gets it done and wins 2-0 while Switzerland wins 1-0. Spain wins the group and Switzerland gets second.

Chile goalie comes out way too far and Villa had a great shot from way out for the opening goal.

There was a Chile defender right with Torres and they were down the sideline. Absolutely no need to come out for that ball there.

What on earth was the Chile keeper doing? There were 3 red jerseys coming back without a Spanish attacker in sight.

Chile's got to be careful. They could have had two red cards already today.

What a ridiculous dive...

Makeup call, I suppose.

Switzerland just need a 1-0 win right now.

That wasn't a dive - he clipped Torres' heel.

It's not a yellow card but Estrada should have had a second yellow earlier anyway.

If you are referring to the card: I don't think it was a dive, but it wasn't t wasn't a foul either, they just accidentally bumped in to each other.

He dove after the contact. I'm just watching on my computer, but from what I could tell, that was far from a natural reaction to what happened. It was a flop. And then he stayed down for far too long.

Chile and Spain just truced in the 89th minute. You can tell the fans are upset with the angry vuvuzela sounds.

Cesc Fabreagas decided that since he isn't going to spend much time playing, he may as well put in a little effort in his spare time to make me like him.

The Arsenal ace says he's not surprised that Bob Bradley's men have topped Group C ahead of England.

And he can see them going all the way to the last four - at least!

Fabregas said: "The best moment for me at the World Cup so far was that nail biting end when the USA scored in the last minute against Algeria. It was an incredible finale and was the most memorable one for me.

"Everybody is talking about it. That was a great moment and they are a great team.

"We found that out when they beat us in the semi-finals of the Confederation Cup last year.

"So I wasn't surprised at all they finished top of the group. They are fit and strong and dangerous on the counter-attack.

"They have spirit too - they came from two goals down against Slovenia to get a draw and scored in injury time against Algeria to go through. The USA never give up. That's why I believe they can go much further because they fight to the end and work so hard.

"They are in a good side of the draw now - they have Ghana next, then maybe Uruguay in the quarter-finals.

"So I can see them reaching the semi-finals and then who knows what might happen."

I'll like him more if he is in London next season.

There are idiots at BigSoccer advocating not starting Clint and Jozy since "they will be tired".

Utter stupidity.

I think we'll see Findley back in the lineup, and I bet you see the same back four, meaning Gooch sits.

How much of an addition would Davies have had to this team?

How much of an addition would Davies have had to this team?

Considering we've gotten exactly nothing useful from the supporting striker spot, I would say a lot.

I think Davies would stretch the backline (something Findley does in theory), but would actually do something useful when given an opportunity. Findley has been fed some really great passes, but hasn't done anything with them, because tactically, his mind isn't fast enough for this level and his decision making is subpar. His speed then becomes less and less useful as the game goes on, because teams figure out he can't hurt you too badly. He's too tentative. Davies has the mental tenacity, decision making ability, arrogance and pace you want in a support striker.

If you want to play the hypothetical game, though, imagine Giuseppe Rossi, Neven Subotic and Jermaine Jones all on this roster.

We'd have a shot to win the whole thing. Hell, even with just Jones and Davies I'd rate us as able.
