You might as well post Sammy Sosa's numbers against LHPs. What difference do career numbers make when the guy had a serious injury, missed a year, and still isn't 100% recovered from it. He has clearly shown he is not the same hitter he has been the rest of his career.

 

Because Fukudome has always been horrific against LH pitchers and there's a good chance that Nady will end up hitting more like he has over his career.

The guy's career has taken place almost entirely in the second half of this decade. He had an injury that the vast majority of people say hitters should be able to return from with minimal problems. He didn't even start for Fukudome yesterday against a lefty. Seriously, what is the big deal?
