If A-Ram is his own hitting coach as he claims, he should fire himself! Every swing he makes is a HR cut when all we needed was a damn single to win the game. Nah, why would you pay attention to the best hitting coach in the game when you already apparently know everything...what a pile of crap this team is right now...

Meanwhile, a real team just went back-to-back.....Blackhawks 2-0!

I've never in my life seen a baseball team with so many guys playing at least reasonably well that sucked so much.

I read in the Redeye today that the Cubs have led the league in hitting since like April 21st with a .295 BA. How can that possibly be? In that 19 game stretch, the Cubs have been held at 3 runs or less 10 times. And yet they have a .295 BA in that stretch. How is the team collectively hitting so well, and the starting pitching has been at least average if not slightly above. Yet we can't score runs and lose more than we win.

This is really the maddening thing, and I imagine why it seems more people are pissed at Lou than would be if the players were tanking.

A nice looking batting average does not necessarily mean the team is hitting well.

Also, for what it's worth, over the last 7 days the Cubs are 10th in the NL in AVG, 12th in OBP, 8th in SLG and 10th in OPS, and 8th in runs scored. So it's not like runs are just magically not being scored.

Man these postgame quotes from Lou are sounding more and more like the previous Cubs manager by the day.

"I think I'm going to a casino in Indiana and play snake-eyes," Piniella said. "I don't know what else to say, I'll be honest with you. Oh, boy."
