nice throw Theriot, christ.

He would have been safe even if he wouldn't have short-hopped that throw.

Ronny Cedeno is going through a nasty funk. His career.

Remember when people were saying Cedeno should start over Theriot back in early 2008?

I'm really wondering if Aram is hiding some lingering shoulder issues.

He's taken some mighty hard swings all year (see first pitch of his last ab) and hasn't been in visible pain or anything. His approach, from just my own eye test, seems to be off. He's swinging at a lot of bad pitches and isn't making good contact on the pitches he's supposed to make good contact. Even though he has had hit into some hard luck this year, a decent amount of long fly outs and line drive outs.

Clearly. I'm just saying. That was an awful effort. Dude's not suited for short. But that's a whole different argument.

That's nothing. I remember people being excited for Kelton, Montanez, Hill, and Choi being our Infield of the Future.

I don't think all that many, if any at all, major league SS make that play.

Did I miss something? Is Byrd supposed to be hurt?

I heard from a trusted source that he was playing through pain. Nothing that would put him on the DL, but it is enough of a concern that they're taking it into account when positioning the OF.

Only thing Cubs can develop is pitching

Geovany Soto says "hi"

But other than that, you're right.
