You know, just when this team starts to look like they're putting together something, they pull this [expletive]. It's happened so much already this year. They snap off a few in a row and then lose in absolutely embarrassing fashion.

How is down by one run on the road against their best pitcher "embarrassing fashion"? I know its the Pirates but still.

Byrd has made a couple of great throws already this year, but did Soto apply the tag?

Doesn't look like it, but Cedeno never touched the plate either.

i would have liked to have seen byrd get a little more juice on that throw (he 2 hopped it,) but it's not surprising that he couldn't get a lot of force off his injured leg.

good throw nonetheless

Geo never tagged him. haha

It's hard to argue when you never touched home and the catcher is standing between you and the plate with the ball

Paul Malholm is [expletive] terrible and we've been leaving runners everywhere.

We've had far worse pitchers own us this year.

This is one of those games where we probably should have won that we didn't (or might not). The pitching as usual was solid, we just can't hit worth a lick.
