so is the general thought that the Magic are gonna match the Redick sheet? Even if its gonna cost them 7M plus another 7M in dollar for dollar luxury tax revenue?

I'm not super pumped about the bulls paying Redick 7M this year, and if I were a Magic fan i'd definitely not want them paying him almost 14M.

Magic just signed Q.Richardson. Hopefully this is who will replace Redick.

Udonis Haslem turned down full MLE's with Dallas and Denver and has decided to re-up with the Heat.

EDIT: Between Haslem and Miller, the Heat are out of cap space and will have to get their remaining 6 players to fill the roster at a minimum. Their 6-man rotation at this point is James, Wade, Bosh, Chalmers, Miller, Haslem.

Suns trade for Hedo Turkoglu and Josh Childress.

The trade expanded into a three-team arrangement Monday, with the Raptors getting Leandro Barbosa from Phoenix and Tyson Chandler and Boris Diaw from Charlotte while sending Jose Calderon to the Bobcats, a person with knowledge of the deal told CBSSports.com.

The Suns traded a 2nd rounder for Childress.

As far as completely unsurprising news goes, Fisher stays with LA.

Add Butler, Pittman and Some European Guy to the list.

Ilgauskas has interest in the Heat too.

When can we expect Jim Gray to sit down with Theo Ratliff so he can tell us that he's taking his talents to South Beach? And how funny would it be to see Ratliff and Udonis Haslem recreate the Leno interview with Garnett and Allen from 2008:

Ratliff: How you doin' champ?

Haslem - I'm good, champ, how are you?

They can't sign any of them unless they'll take the minimum. I haven't seen anything about them.

This is gonna be interesting to watch this year for sure. Can 2 uber stars, 1 All Star, and a roster of also rans beat really good teams?

Haslem, Chalmers, and Miller are not also rans. They are putting together a solid team. They just need a center. Shaq?

That is until David Stern steps in and voids LeBron's contract due to collusion. He has burned too many bridges with Cleveland and will go to the Bulls.

Chalmers maybe, but the other two, at this point. I'm not so sure they aren't also rans.

Edit: I'm an idiot. Mike Miller, not Brad.

So what happens to them? Do they re-enter the draft next year?

I think by rule they would have to. Stern's gonna have to step in here.

Second round picks don't have guaranteed NBA contracts. If they don't make the team, they can go to the NBDL.

If they get a semi legit center they'll be in business. Don't go there Brad...

Haslem, Miller, Chalmers, that's not great but it's probably good enough. They just need to avoid the Jannero Pargo types getting big minutes.

True, I was thinking about their first round picks.

I'm still very interested to hear how they plan on handling Dwight Howard or Pau Gasol with Bosh and Ilgauskas/Shaw/Brad Miller/whatever they throw out there.

Well those teams have to worry about stopping James, Wade, and Bosh.

Seriously if they get Shaq in there that'll be plenty. Girthy legit 7 footers who can give 6 hard fouls if necessary. That's all they need.

Can't you go over the cap to sign your own players? Wouldn't draft picks count as your own players?

I don't think they had any 1st round picks, and 2nd round picks aren't guaranteed. But if they did have a first round pick, they would have had a cap hold that goes against their salary cap so they wouldn't be able to spend all their cap space and then try to sign their draft picks.

I can't believe the Heat have enough money to sign Haslem and Miller to multi million dollar deals. The Heat are going to be scary good.

Chalmers

Wade

James

Bosh

????

Miller

Haslem

The rest can be scrubs, they will dominate.

Redflash will disagree, oh wait...

Admit it; deep down that's what you want.

Magic have signed Quentin Richardson leading some to speculate they do not intend to match on JJ Redick.

Also, Adrian Wojnarowski reporting Bulls and Celtics are interested in Josh Howard.

Damn the Heat. Will suck if they are a rebirth of the Bad Boy Pistons to the Bulls.

One think I think the Heat and their fans are underestimating is the fact that teams are going to be gunning for them every night. It didn't help when LeBron said the games would be easy, either.
