Let's see who the Heat fill the roster with. I'm so damn intrigued as to how they are next year. If they don't win it all, it will be hilarious.

I can't think of many good basketball players who would you give up millions of dollars so to be the bitch of the Big 3 and tag along for rings.

I can possibly see Shaq doing it because he's rich already. Not too many others.

He looks much better when I don't have to watch his soft butt play.

Between this and wishing the Bulls still had Hinrich and Salmons you're on a roll tonight.

John Salmons is a fine basketball player.

Not for 5/40

If he plays like he did for Bulls/Bucks after being brought over he easily is. The problem is that he may play like he did for the 1st half of last season.

If you're looking for a guy that can make some 3s, get his own shot, and guard Dwyane Wade you could do a lot worse. He is a bit of a black hole of course.

when you have a superstar talent, and you dont support them, they eventually will leave to win the championship

Dan Gilbert did everything possible to support LeBron. Lebron didn't have a great playoff run when it mattered most. I don't know what more Gilbert could have done to get him to stay. LeBron needed a guy like Pippen, a great second option, but they just didn't want to come.

yeah, this guy is my new favorite person. gypsy curses, context errors, bad font, single-sentence paragraphs, irrational short-sighted, knee-jerk guarantees, ripped-off movie rants. this guy is my kind of guy!

he should go looking for lebron right now, let's encourage him. anyone know this guy's twitter handle?

John Salmons is a fine basketball player.

For two half-years he has been. If he keeps up the level of play he had in Milwaukee, he'll be good. If he regresses to career averages, that contract will be awful.

Skiles gets the most out of guys and demands defense from them. Without Redd and Bogut they almost beat Atlanta. Salmons will be fine there.

It's so awesome. I only hope that when he calms down he and his people don't backtrack and say their site was hacked into.

wtf ever. Gilbert just discovered what the Wolves discovered a few years ago with KG. when you have a superstar talent, and you dont support them, they eventually will leave to win the championship.

see ya Cleveland, dont choke on your own blood

You're kidding, right? Danny Ferry absolutely, positively bent over backwards to get new/better players in. Hughes was a huge bust. Mo Williams didn't work out as well as expected. The Shaq experiment was decent, but not fantastic. Jamison never seemed to find his spot. The whole Wally/Big Ben trade a few years ago.

They surrounded him with talent. Varejao, Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison, and Shaq (a very solid 20-minute player). Anthony Parker and Delonte West were more than capable reserves. Guys like Boobie Gibson (who pretty much personally sent us to the finals in the game after LeBron's explosion game), Jamario Moon, and Leon Powe couldn't even find the floor.

The whole "Cleveland didn't surround LeBron with enough talent" argument just doesn't hold water anymore. They were the second most talented team in the NBA last year, in my opinion.

LeBron played absolutely, positively terrible against the Celtics. The whole elbow drama mixed in with this ridiculous drama makes the blame fall into LeBron's lap.

I thought about Shaq too. He's played with Dwyane and LeBron already and I'm sure he'd like another ring. But yeah, these ESPN guys seem convinced that all kinds of average to above average guys are going to be jumping at the opportunity to be seen as the dudes who rode the coattails of the Big 3 to an NBA championship for chump change.

it's like drunken facebooking. when you wake up, you realize you just sent a pm to some girl you had a crush on and you have to start drinking again to forget that you did it. and then, it totally seems like a good idea to do it again.

I think they TRIED to surround him with the necessary talent, but they failed.

i don't blame lebron for leaving at all, but it was the way he left that was fucked up.

Wow, the Cavs official front page is brutal right now.

Dan Gilbert has a jillion dollars and can't find a font that isn't reminiscent of a Geocites page?

Guy in the ESPN chat said it looks like an invite to a picnic.

He became my favorite player in the league last year (well behind Jonas Jerebko that is). Since the Pistons can't contend, they're definitely my team to pull for in the playoffs. If only they were still in Seattle...

Yeah, I dont blame him at all for bolting. I dont blame him for taking 7 days or whatever it was to decide, either. The TV special was way (way, way, way, etc..) over the top though.

i guess noah is making fun of them already, saying "they're gonna be real hollywood down there"

i like boozer and noah firing off the warning shots. it's probably all futile, but i still like the atittude.
