6. Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah (tie)

Their 2010 playoff performances was a co-written love letter to LeBron and Wade. Here's what the letter said ...

Dear LeBron and Dwyane,

We are wired correctly. We give a crap. We want to win. We are really really good. We are warriors. We could absolutely be the second-best and third-best guys on a team that wins multiple titles. Sadly, this can't happen without one of you. Please think about Chicago. It's cold during the winter, but during the spring and summer, there's no better place. It's the No. 3 TV market. It's the city that once had the greatest player ever. We're firing our coach and GM this summer; if you want, you can pick the next two guys. We want to win titles. Not title ... titles. By the way, Joakim wants you to know that he isn't nearly as annoying if he's your teammate.

Much respect,

Joakim and Derrick

The 6 was their spot in his random power rankings from the playoffs.

Whatever happens this offseason, here's what I do NOT want to see:

- Joe Johnson with a max contract

- David Lee as one of the big FA signings

Best case scenario, LeBron or Wade comes to Chicago. Second best case, Bosh + a 3 point shooter come to Chicago.

Do the Bulls have the money for say:

Bosh and Josh Howard?

Joe Johnson and Channing Frye?

Intriguing idea. I want to say definitely to your second proposal and most likely for the first.

If we can't land Morrow, I'd be all for adding someone like Ray Allen. Basically any guy that can hit wide open jump shots is a guy we need to be looking at (aside from the max guys).

Bosh is likely a better case scenario than Wade.

I'm starting to waver on this one. Wade is an amazing player while Bosh has never really played on a good team. He's definitely 2nd fiddle to Rose if he signs here--which is fine.

You sign Wade and you've got two of the top 10 players in the game potentially...you figure everything else out from there.

If Rose can be "the guy", it will work out better. I just take Rose as a better complementary player than an alpha dog, and I don't really see Bosh as an alpha dog either. I'm giddy at the possibility of Rose and Noah being the second and third options on a team.

I prefer Bosh but either way, you obviously couldn't complain with either one of those guys.

I would worry about injuries and age more than fit with Wade. It's apparent the Bulls need any kind of scoring they can get. Plus the idea of Wade and Rose switching PG duties intrigues me. Rose is very good off the ball.

A shooting big man would still be a necessity if you sign Wade because they would both need a pick and roll partner.

Are Wade and Rose too similar? I'm not saying that the fit wouldn't work, but Bosh+Rose seems like an unstoppable duo.

Bosh is nice and would definitely be welcomed. I just think maybe the only thing that is going to derail Lebron stomping the rest of the league for the next half decade is getting as many top players as possible. Wade is an incredible talent while Bosh is "only" a very nice piece.

the only way lebron stomps the league for the half decade is if he goes to new york with wade or bosh. then we will all have a big problem.

Yes, well you're about the only one peddling the theory that Lebron can't win in Cleveland.

But yeah, it would pretty much be lights out for everyone if Lebron teamed up with Wade or Bosh.

the perfect coach for a lebron+wade duo is don nelson, because you could just pair them up and then nelson could get double-doubles from a host of D-leaguers.

winning and stomping the league are two different things, though.

i think it's obvious he can have a winning team, i think it remains to be seen if he can win multiple championships or even A championship without another high-level NBA star.

what if toronto would take a sign-and-trade for bosh? i was talking with a guy on another board, and toronto isn't really an attractive destination for any free agent so cap space might not mean as much to colangelo as it would to us.

do you think they might take deng, gibson, and our #1 for him?

I don't know why they would want Deng when they already have Turkeyglue on an even worse contract.

I would rather try to sign Boozer or Amare outright than S&T for Bosh.
