They've been doing this for years, but I agree. I always watch the first couple of rounds of the playoffs, but by the time it gets to the conference finals, there are so many off days that I quickly lose interest.

I'm quickly finding out that I prefer the NHL playoffs to the NBA playoffs (with or without the Hawks...thank god it is with said Hawks).

The NBA teams regularly play back-to-back games (or the occasional 4 games in 5 nights run) during the regular season, but they suddenly get all these off days in the playoffs? SO dumb. Have basketball on every night. Playing every other day is plenty of rest

Definitely worried about the Celtics in the finals (assuming the Lakers don't choke). They're playing really well right now.

The Celtics and Lakers are actually good teams though. Orlando and Phoenix looked great for a couple rounds but are being exposed by better teams. I dunno, I kind of look forward to some good basketball in the Finals despite my lack of fondness for both fan bases. lol

And thank god for the MLB network, because I'd otherwise have to sit through an intolerably disproportionate amount of coverage of a finals I literally could not care less about to get to baseball. Lakers/Celtics really is just the worst case scenario.

I'm not downgrading the talent level on both teams, but I am definately worn out from the Lakers/Celtics Finals rivalry. I rather see teams that don't make it every year, mixed in with a classic matchup every couple of years.
