Oh, that's not a good penalty. Wow.

Okay, just one of those things. Hossa needs to be more careful though.

i just think that vancouver is a better team and we got lucky the last 3 games.

I bet you're a blast to drink with.

If nothing else, at least Luongo won't go home with a shutout to boost his confidence. Like I said before, he hasn't been Halak-esque tonight.

Okay, so what the [expletive] happened tonight?

One team finished a few chances, the other team skated better but couldn't score.

So nothing to concern myself about? Works for me. Finish the job on Tuesday.

Well, it can happen two more times, that should concern you.

And even though I liked how the Blackhawks played tonight, I in no way believe that will affect how they play the next game.

Buff hurt us tonight. Missed an open net on our best chance and gave them two power plays on bad penalties, one of which they converted. Then really you just had Hendry's poor play on the second goal and Niemi giving up a soft first score.

I don't think they were dominant, they converted on those opportunities we gave them which allowed them to play it safe in the 3rd. Our power play was terrible though.

losing this series would be absolutely devastating

Easy there, chief.

this series could easily turn, and it would be talked about forever.

Hawks have lost 3 in a row only three times this year (March 25/28/30, March 13/14/17, Jan 30, Feb 3/5). So while it is a possibility that Vancouver can win 3 in a row, the Hawks are something like 6-1 in Canada including 3-1 in Vancouver (including the playoffs). So eve if the Nucks win tonight, and I am hoping the Hawks come back to win, my money is on the series ending in 6.

the 03 cubs hadn't lost 3 in a row all season long.

What are you talking about?

In all seriousness, I'm not not worried, but I'm not overly worried either. Vancouver is a really good team, and Luongo has stretches where he's a really good goalie. It is just tough to beat this team 4 times in a row. It sucks that Vancouver is now very much alive, but we still have 2 more chances to finish them off. The good thing is the Blackhawks have responded well when their backs were to the wall in the playoffs, so I don't worry too much about pressure effecting them even if they get taken to a 7th game.

We have a 3-2 series lead, and if we had lost game 4 and won game 5, no one would obviously be upset, so let's not be upset until we have something to be upset about.

BTW, does anyone think the Vancouver Defensemen had a hell of a game tonight? They got their sticks on a lot of passes, and really killed some of the better chances the Hawks had. The good news is I am not worried about them being able to do that 2 more times this series, just as I have to assume that Luongo is not going to be as good as he was tonight.

I don't think anyone is upset (well, except for sulley, but he's sports crazy).

I'm not too nervous yet but if we lose Tuesday I will be a bit uneasy.

It seemed like Luongo's plan to adjust to the screens was to challenge the shot from the point way, way, way out of his net, cutting off the angle. The counteradjustment is to put players to the side of him to tip pucks that are going wide, just like Toews did for our only goal.

So apparently Sami Salo has a ruptured testicle. Hockey players have to wear a cup, don't they?

Oh my god yes. I remember in HS once my cup didn't make it into my bag for an away game at a rink that didn't have a pro shop. I was so scared to tell the coach, so I just rolled with it. As a winger, I was never so scared to get in front of shots from the point.

Our goalie also forgot his once. And goalie cups are massive pieces of equipment, for obvious reasons. Again, without the coaches seeing, we duct taped a spare elbow pad over his crotch.

Glad to hear Salos' [expletive] is apparently in order.

Good observation. I was at the game so I didn't notice this but that's interesting because people were remarking in the first few games how close to the net he was playing. Hopefully the Hawks can make the proper adjustments before the next game.

Not pressing the panic button but I have been extremely disappointed with how the Hawks have played on home ice this series.
