I am now on board with the "going for the sweep" bandwagon. No need to give these snake-bitten weasels any more hope. Let's send them to the same place as Vancouver and Nashville. Let's do the "Anti-Boston" this Sunday. Edited by RedFlash

Yeah I'm just happy. There is just about no way the Sharks win 4 straight against us. The key will be can we finish this off Sunday and get some well deserved rest.

No. This is just set up too perfectly. Which would be more gutting, blowing a 3-0 lead vs. the Sharks or failing to put it away against a very mediocre East champion?

Wait, you don't want the sweep or you do?

Niemi again, saving 44/46 shots. Dude really stepped up his game. Goaltending is actually a strength instead of something we have to overcome. Wow.

I am on board, I press T instead of W, which I am about to correct.

How about neither? I honestly believe neither of those scenerios are going to happen. With the Sharks, at this point they are mentally a wreck, do to many years of playoff failures. Similiar to the mindset of a Cubs fan. For them, this is like 'oh, here we go again."

As for the Stanley Cup, we are SOOOOOO much better then both teams. We should skate both teams out of the arena. And if Niemi continues to play like a top goalies, then the Hawks really have no holes in their games.

Niemi now with a .922 save percentage in the postseason

.958 in the WCF

Pretty safe to say that we are down 2-1 without him. Our goalie has us on the brink of winning the series and I'm pretty sure no one expected that.

Did Nabokov ever see the final goal until it was in the net?

he looked behind the net just as bolland was making the pass. they showed buff's view and nabakov was standing completely upright and still looking behind the net

He started raising his glove at about the same time the puck sailed past. So literally, yes, but probably not in any meaningful way.

What a game....I'm having so much fun watching the Blackhawks right now...it's ridiculous.

Niemi is a beast.

I'm definitely getting a jersey this offseason, but it's a tossup between Niemi and Toews right now. Crazy that Niemi would even be in the discussion, but he totally is right now.

My opinion is....the Conn Smyth is Toews to lose.

Couple of things about the game I saw from the highlights:

1: How pretty was Toews pass on the first goal of the game? Man that pass was awesome.

2: If you are San Jose, how do you lose a 260 pound man?

If the Hawks win the Cup, especially if it's a quick series, I can't see a way he loses it unless he plays awful in the SCF, but I don't see that happening.

Again, I love being wrong when it comes to instances like these.

But even you had to admit that the feeling heading into OT wasn't a very good one. Glad to be proven wrong tonight.
