I don't like to gloat, er, yes I do. I figure I should do this now before it all falls apart and I can't do it later.

First place!!

Of course, I can only get points from Duke winning tomorrow and Kentucky making it to the title game.

I bragged about my great first round in picking things and then Villanova (a FF team) lost in the first game of the second round and Kansas (my winner) lost in the third.

Then I'm probably doomed tomorrow. I sure wish I could go back and pick Ohio St. instead of Michigan St. to come out of that bracket. I'd leave everything else the same though.

This was a great game ruined to extent by the color guy. Criticizing a guy for being "fatigued" and faking a hand injury when it was obvious he was hit in the nuts, "times out" and many other idiotic things.

Ruined? WTF were you watching? Hit mute if you are so easily influenced by announcers. This was one of the greatest games of all time! Ruined!?

And I don't remember him ever accusing anyone of faking an injury..

I didn't say it ruined the game I said it ruined it to an extent (well I forgot the an the first time). I say right off the bat it was a great game. I, however, was distracted multiple times by the color guy for all the wrong reasons.

As for whomever said they don't remember him saying he faked an injury I will paraphrase what I remember.

"He went out acting like his right hand was really hurt. He was holding his left hand over his right hand and looked like he was in a lot of pain. He's back in now just a couple minutes later and acting like nothing is wrong. I think he was just fatigued."

Yes, I remember the dialogue... which is so far away from "criticizing" a guy for "faking an injury".

How in the world did you get to that conclusion? Elmore clearly thought he hurt his hand, then he thought he was just tired. He never once said anything along the lines of "I think Kelly took himself out of the game (which he was dominating) because he decided that was a clever time to fake an injury"....

This isn't football, afterall. No benefit to faking an injury.

And to ZERO extent could that game have been ruined by a color guy. Unless Glen Beck took over the job, theres no way at all that you should let anything anyone says ruin a game like that.

I've never been fatigued and had my hand start hurting. Either he was implying that he faked an injury to get a breather or Elmore is a complete idiot who thinks your hand can start hurting when you get tired.

If West Virginia beats Kentucky on Saturday I'd be the only person left in my money pool with their champ still alive. If UK wins I have to hope Ohio State can somehow beat them in the title game, because no one in the South will beat them.

Duke and Baylor are both capable of beating Kentucky. I wouldn't favor them but I would say Duke matches up as well as anyone with them. Zoubek is big enough and strong enough to at least hamper Cousins and I think Singler would be a bad match up for Patterson.

I know a couple Cornell grads, and they are by far the least vocal of Ivy supporters, but man they really came out of the woodwork yesterday.

dartmouth fans are pretty absent generally, but that could be a result of their athletic programs always being terrible.

Maybe Elmore was just trying to avoid from announcing to the millions of people watching that the dude just got hit in the johnson rod and couldn't catch his breath. Announcers often try to avoid that injury analysis situation.

Did you watch the game? Sorry but that comment makes me think you didn't. He commented on it when he was leaving the floor and then 5 full minutes later brought it back up after he had returned and been in the game for a couple minutes. He was shocked that he was playing because how much pain he looked like he was in when he was leaving the floor.

That's true, I've never met a Dartmouth fan, aside from when I went to a football camp there when Fiedler was still there.

I was watching casually, but I wasn't hanging on every word the announcers said.

St. Mary's is going to lose by 30 if they don't start hitting a couple threes.

This OSU/TN game is like an NBA game so far with the scoring.

Are you surprised? Both teams are pretty up tempo and both teams have very athletic rosters who can really run the court.
