While I don't disagree about MSU being in trouble. Couldn't NMST's record in close games mean that they aren't that much better than the poor competition they are playing?

It could be one of those "drag people down to your level" situations. I don't think it's necessarily indicative of their skills in close games.

Also, MSU is much better than most of the teams they played, and maybe all(haven't looked at their schedule).

Um, 1 has played, this game isn't over, and there's no way in hell Maryland's losing to Houston.

 

Also, Tennessee has won and Ohio State ain't losing to Georgia Tech, Tennessee or Ohio anyway.
