My best bracket, by far, was 2005. Had 7 of the Elite Eight, all the final four, and the correct championship game.

Picked the wrong winner, though.

2005 was the worst I ever did. I went completely crazy picking too many upsets (and the wrong ones), and for some reason I ended up with 4-seed Syracuse winning the title. They went out to Vermont in round 1. A horrifying performance by me.

I did nail the Final Four in 2007, but I didn't get any of the three Final Four games correct so it lessened it.

I won a pool in 2006 by picking UCLA to be the runner-up, the year Mason destroyed everyone's bracket and no one picked Florida.

Butler to the 16 in 2003 is my only contribution to the 'cool Cinderella picks'.

I also had Syracuse as the runner-up in 03, which won me my pool and is still the closest I've ever come to picking the NCAA champion. :(

2003 was the best I ever did as well. Entry was two for $10 were I worked, with the top-3 spots winning some money. I got first and third. Thanks 'Melo.

I barely remember who I picked in the tourney this year much less past years

Ha. I wish I could forget that particular pick.

It seems we've had a bunch of almost upsets in the 15 vs. 2 lately:

2006 Tennessee vs. Winthrop

2007 Texas A&M-CC vs. Wisconsin

2008 Belmont vs. Duke

2010: Robert Morris vs. Villanova

I think this is the latest into the tournament in a long time that my complete Sweet 16 is still intact, even if Richmond loses.

My whole Sweet 16 is still intact as well, even if Richmond loses.

Heading down to your neck of the woods to watch games tomorrow, Exile. I'm far more excited than I should be.

Nick's?

yes, actually! we're starting out at Nick's, I believe.

Enjoy. I'm jealous. Though I'll be there Saturday and Sunday, probably.

Interestingly, if Tennessee beats San Diego State tonight, I'll be rooting 100% against my bracket when we play Georgetown since I picked Georgetown to win it all.

I had Duke winning the title in 2002 when Notre Dame played them in round 2 and I don't think I've ever rooted harder for the Irish to win a basketball game in my life.

Yeah, without a doubt my bracket takes a backseat to my rooting interest. It's part of the reason I don't join money leagues.

Dan Shanoff just posted a blog stating that today validates expanding the tournament to 96.

I have no idea where he gets that idea. Would this be as fun if it was a 23 and an 18 playing for the right to face a 3 seed? What a ridiculous stance.
