Fitting end to the season for Nova. Just like their season, they started off well and choked down the stretch.

I guess my dream of seeing Michigan in the Sweet 16 is on life support. Am I crazy to hold out even a little hope that a team that hasn't beaten a team better than Illinois this year is going to beat Duke in the NCAA tournament?

 

Michigan almost kinda sorta had a decent rivalry with Duke in the 90's until the UM program completely [expletive] the bed late in the decade. Obviously everyone remembers the NCAA tourney games, then I believe Michigan upset Duke in 2 consecutive years in, I want to say 96 and 97. Then the program crapped out. Then 2 years ago we beat Duke in AA. Maybe the rivalry is coming back?

I had my girlfriend fill out a bracket for fun who knows nothing about Basketball and before the George Mason game she was ranked on ESPN at 99.9% and dropped to 99% with that loss. Needless to say I am losing.

1-8 all won in the West region and only No. 11 Gonzaga won in the Southeast. No upsets in the East either, though only three games have been played.

 

On the other side of things, only three games have been played in the Southwest region and there have been two upsets.
