Oh I agree. It's just surprising because it's never happened even with guys like Durant, Oden, Mayo or Wall who seemed to have more hype. But yeah when Singler, Pullen, Fridette and JaJuan Johnson are your others, ick...

My only complaint is that there's still no consistent pattern of substitutions. I'm not worried about the end results until I see the lineups out there that are going to play when it counts.

They looked sloppy for sure, but it looked like the freshman just need to adjust to the speed and everybody needs to get used to playing with each other. Plus McCamey hasn't really been running the point, since Bruce is trying to develop a back up.

 

I thought Paul looked a lot better last night than he did last year. He seemed much more under control and made better decisions. Of course it helped his shot was falling.

What was the quality like on btn.com? I just noticed that IU's game tonight is only available there as well (lame). Regardless, I'll probably give it a shot since the alternative is watching "Survivor" (until the Blackhawks come on).

I never had any picture freezes or anything. Just be prepared for some awful StudentU announcers.

There was a free month coupon code out there somewhere. It was on the Illinois scout site, I imagine if you search the internet enough you can find it. Just remember to cancel within a month so you aren't paying $7.95 for Northwesten women's soccer practice feeds.

This early in the season, I wouldn't be too concerned. They're just trying to figure things out.

I'm not worried. This will take care of itself. He bombs this year and he's gone.

IU won it's exhibition game tonight, 89-37. Christian Watford put up 25. But got little help from the rest of the frontcourt. Guy Marc-Michel didn't play due to a hopefully temporary eligibility issue (had 14 and 10 in a team scrimmage this weekend). Pritchard had 7 boards but no points. Elston put up 9, but only had 1 non-jump shot attempt.

 

Maurice Creek played 20 minutes and put up 16 w/ 5 boards. Matt Roth also came back and played 13 minutes. Freshman Victor Oladipo started and went 4-4 with 9 points and 2 steals in 13 minutes. He started for Verdell Jones who has an injured ankle (in a boot). Best news of the night may be that Rivers only played the 8th most minutes and didn't start even w/ VJ3 out.

Wouldn't we have needed to have a top 5 class at some point for that to be relevant?

Best news of the night may be that Rivers only played the 8th most minutes and didn't start even w/ VJ3 out.

 

Other than concerns about Guy's eligibility, this was the thing that struck me the most about the game. Can't say I want to see Daniel Moore out there so much though. Hopefully that's largely because of Jones' injury.
