This is a dumb conversation. If you want to believe that Jim Hendry is the devil incarnate, selfish to the core with a master plan for destroying both the criminally misunderstood Milton Bradley and the Cubs (instead of who he is, which is simply a terrible general manager), go ahead.

What the [expletive] are you talking about?

I think the translation is something along the lines of LEAVE JIM HENDRY ALONE!

More like, criticize Jim Hendry for what he is: a bad GM. Don't criticize him for what he is not: a vindictive crazy person.

And who exactly has called him a vindictive crazy person? I guess I missed all those posts.

Did I black out and make a bunch of posts I don't remember?

You're going to have to specify a timeframe.

Milton Bradley implied that by saying he got racist hate mail from the Cubs front office. If he actually said that as some have suggested.

Prediction: at some point this season, probably after MB has a good run for a week or so, he'll bring up the "No wonder they haven't won for 100 years" lame-ass point.

What he meant was not completely clear but the whole portion of the interview where he talks about the worst of the hate mail not having any postmarks certainly can be interpreted to mean that he thinks it came from someone inside the organization that didn't have to mail it or at very least people within the organization were delivering the mail directly to his locker from whoever was writing the letters. It is all very odd but I don't see how you can watch the interview and not see that he was implying that the organization or someone within the clubhouse was involved in that mail getting to him. The interviewer tries to get him to elaborate and then he goes off on to the tangent of he has only gotten hate mail in Chicago, LA and Oakland (not sure what his point was on that either) and doesn't specify who he thought was giving him the hate mail with no postmarks. It is a hard interview to watch and really understand where he is coming from because he kind of says things then backs off the statements when asked to elaborate.

I guess the part of the problem is he doesn't just come out and say what he thinks happened and so by just laying it out there that he was receiving the "worst" of the hate mail in his locker with no postmarks he leaves it up the the viewer to decide who he thinks was putting it there. The clubhouse attendants? Teammates? Lou? Front office personnel?

his ejections were ridiculous. overzealous umps trying to prove a point.

I read the first one he got called out on strikes and then laid the bat down and waited in the batter's box until he got tossed, which is hilarious.

My understanding of this situation (according to statements made by Wakamatsu) is that Bradley wasn't trying to show up the ump, but rather that he thought the inning was over and was waiting for the bat boy to bring him his glove and cap. This--if true--is even more hilarious.

i'll bet milton will blame his lack of ability to count to 3 on either chicago, the media, the cubs, or the "fans" who sent him racist mail.

He then proceeded to get the ball from the called 3rd strike and throw it into the RF bleachers, runners were allowed to advance 1 base.
