Miller blew that by giving up a rebound that kept Canada in possession of the puck which led to the score.

Yeah I know Ryan Miller had a fantastic tournament and I'm not mad at him. But on that particular play, I noted that he shouldn't have deflected that shot back to Canada. Of course if we didnt have Miller we'd have gotten 5th place or something.

But all in all, it's been a pretty solid last 12 months for Crosby.

Yeah after seeing the replay, it was a slow shot that Miller decided to redirect behind him instead of falling on it, which I thought was weird because there were 2 Canadians there where he sent the puck. And the Canadians kept the possession and scored. Blah.

 

Oh well that was a fantastic tournament and while I'm disapointed to come so far, we pretty much played even with the Canadians or possibly slightly better than them on their home ice in a tournament that meant so much to the country. It's not the same as a gold, but Agghhhh, I tried this sucks.

Winning Olympic silver is still pretty awesome. That was an electric tournament.

 

And Ryan Miller is a stud.

We came into this being told by many that we would be lucky to even get bronze. And we took silver, plus played very good hockey with an amazing team. It would have been incredible to pull the upset, but USA hockey comes away looking pretty good.

 

And Blackhawk players were big throughout.

The Americans weren't favored to medal. The U.S. Hockey brains completely turned over the roster from the Tkachuk/Modano/Chelios crew to the Parise/Kane/Miller crew, and they played pretty damn well. This bodes well for 2014.
