OK and another one. This one may seem crazy, but am I stupid for leaning towards starting Eli over Peyton this week? The Jets have the top ranked D in the league for one, and for two, Im not sure how long they will keep Peyton in there.

So Eli vs Carolina, or Peyton vs NYJ?

I'm in essentially the same position except substitute Vince Young for Eli. I plan to follow the reports during the week and if it sounds like Peyton is likely to play most of the game I'll use him, but if he's likely to play half or less of the game I won't hesitate to use Young instead.

I would start the Vikings D. Cutler isn't even trying anymore and either he will throw a couple picks if the playbook is close to opened or they will shut out the Bears as they attempt to minimize the embarassment offensively.

Ok I made the Championship in my money league, but Im needing some help on my D.

Minny D Vs Chicago

Cincy D vs KC

Which one?

I would take Minnesota D over the Cincy D at the moment. The Ravens D got me into this week because they played the Bears. The Bears Offense is playing as bad as any at the moment, and they give up picks and sacks.

Tough call. Eli has everything to play for and has had some good performances, but I say Peyton. You have to go with your horse that has done it all year. If you lose because Peyton is pulled early or has a bad game, then you can live with it. If you lose because Eli sucked and Peyton's 4 TD's are on your bench, you will be pissed for a while.

Congrats everyone who is in the championship game.

Recently stocked with RB's, which has been my weakness this year. Got lucky with Jamal Charles this week.

Here's my dilemma pick 2:

Cedric Benson vs. KC

Jamal Charles at Cinci

Jerome Harrison vs Oakland (Hopefully, I can pick him up tomorrow as there are only 2 teams that care anymore!)

Pierre Thomas vs TB

I'm leaning towards Benson and Harrison. Benson is facing the team that Harrison set a record against. Harrison is playing Oakland and will be getting the ball, esp with Brady Quinn going down.

Benson is a definite. Charles has been phenomenal and although his matchup isn't good, he MAY still be a better play than Harrison, mainly because it's at least possible that even after his monstrous game, Mangini uses Jennings alot this next game. They are very hard to predict anything from.

My questions are these: Palmer or Favre at QB? I think it's awfully risky to use Favre right now personally, as New Orleans can clinch home field throughout before he plays Monday night and if Philly loses, then it's hard to see Favre playing the full game for sure.

Other question is pick 3 of these 5 runners? Jones-Drew, Ray Rice, Grant, Forte and Snelling. Jones-Drew has a bad matchup, but he's a definite. Rice has been a must start and played well against Pittsburgh the 1st time, but he's a tad scary for me this week. Grant has a very solid matchup and is coming off a game where they didn't run the ball at all, so he's probably going to get his fair amount of touches. Forte is almost definitely my worst option here, don't really see any reason to consider him seriously. Snelling is the guy who is making me think though......Solid matchup against Buffalo and I don't see Turner or Norwood playing or making an impact anyway. Any chance he's worth starting over Grant or Rice?

I agree with Palmer over Favre. For Brett, not much to play for, and especially given the blow up last week, he is sitting down if Childress tells him to.

I'd go with Jones-Drew and Grant.

Re: Rice. It's annoying that the Ravens like to give the ball to Willis McGahee at the goal-line after Rice gets them there. Drives me nuts that the Saints decide to do the same thing with Pierre Thomas. Therefore, you pretty much rely on yards even if he's good at getting them.

I think Snelling is a risk. He hasn't been the guy all year, and he's had some good games but its not like he's going to get 30 points and make you regret benching him. But he can easily get you only 5 and screw you.

Grant is a much better call, IMO. Good matchup, and the Pack is motivated.

2 teams in the finals... one i'm waiting to see what happens with waiver pickups though.

first team:

qb: mcnabb, palmer

rb: frank gore, mojo (no-brainers)

wr: boldin (no-brainer), s. holmes

wr/te: v. davis (no-brainer)

wr/rb: crabtree

wr/rb/te: maroney

pretty sure i'm going mcnabb over palmer, and i think i have to play maroney too.

i have a bench of: jerious norwood, sproles, t.o., manningham.

does norwood get enough carries against buffalo's hideous run D? are either t.o. (unlikely) or manningham better plays than crabtree?

Benson is a definite.

i really don't know about that, there's been speculation he'll be ceding touches to LJ to lighten his workload this week. it's spooking me a bit. i've also got Beanie Wells and Ryan Grant on the bench.

At the time I wrote this I forgot that the Titans play on Christmas, so I'm not going to play Young. I picked up Matt Moore (who seemed to be the best available QB) as a fallback option if the Colts plan to rest Peyton. Unless there's talk closer to game time of him sitting out much of the game, though, I'll win or lose with Peyton.

team #2:

need 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 RB/WR from:

RB: c. johnson, r. rice, d. williams, j. harrison

WR: s. rice, d. jackson, v. jackson, s. holmes, r. meachem, m. crabtree

d'angelo williams is probably out so i'm not playing him. obviously i'm playing c. johnson and pretty sure i have to play rice. lots of good options at WR but i'm leaning toward the two jacksons. so my flex comes down to:

j. harrison, s. rice, s. holmes, r. meachem, m. crabtree

leaning toward harrison since oakland really sucks.
