I was hoping the Bulls would miss the playoffs and get the number two pick with Turner. Then get Bosh.

Derrick, Turner, Luol, Bosh, and Noah can win the east and maybe an NBA title.

Yeah, it was the trades that made them struggle as much as they did. Not the injuries to every single key member of the team. It was the crippling trades of John Salmons and Tyrus Thomas! Oh, the horror! It's a miracle they were able to go 10-4 at the end without those titans of basketball.

Nah I'm happy to see this team persevere and win a playoff spot rather than the miniscule chance they get a lottery pick

Sure they'll get completely manhandled by the Cav's but maybe, just maybe, we'll have a re-enactment of last years first round and that was hella entertaining

I'd just like to say that those deadline trades totally ruined this team's chances of making the playoffs and they'll be totally unattractive to any potential free agents out there. Rose and Noah obviously can't carry the team to any extent whatsoever.

that is all.

Yes, clearly the trades did nothing to diminish the quality of the team because the Bulls proved they were just as good by getting in by the narrowest possible margin when they were in contention for a 5th seed just before the trades.

In fact it was the trades that made the Raptors go into the tank at the same time the Bulls did to keep them within striking distance. Also, Salmons didn't make the Bucks better at all. Flip is actually better and Warrick isn't a horrific defender and rebounder either.

Taking things out of context is fun!

lol - and clearly the injuries to the team and the difficult stretch of the schedule had nothing to do with that drop in results, either.

John Salmons has been the 2nd best shooting guard in basketball since the trade. Yes, better than Kobe, Roy, and Joe Johnson.

He's been outrageously efficient on the Bucks and led them on a huge run.

2010- Chicago is 2 for 2 in getting their major sports teams into the playoffs. Only 2 more to go, unless you count that other baseball team that I keep hearing about.

But getting a top three pick brings them closer to a championship and that is the point of fielding an NBA team.

And he was largely craptacular with the Bulls this year. Holding onto him wouldn't have overcome Rose, Noah, Deng, Kirk and Taj all missing time (with the first 3 missing significant time and often at the same time). But please, explain why FA's will only focus on when the Bulls were struggling because they were beset with injuries as opposed to their 10-4 run to make the playoffs.

The Celtics still had a chance of avoiding LeBron's engine of death until the conference finals.

lol. big words from a fan of the cleveland cavaliers.

lebron's "death machine" goes down before the finals and you cry yourself to sleep again.

Well if Salmons had played that way all year we would've never traded him because there would've been zero chance he wouldn't have opted out into free agency. He's made himself good coin since he's been traded. We'd also probably in contention for at least a 6th seed, even with all the injuries because we'd have banked more wins earlier on.

I'm glad we finished out strong because it makes us look more attractive and I just flat out want to see the Bulls in the playoffs. But if that 0-10 stretch had floundered on and there was no bounce back once we got healthy, yes, I do think we would look worse to FAs than we do now. Now we can be a pain in the ass to the Cavs and maybe nab a win or two and I like our position to land a big fish.

Don't think of these as playoffs as much as a chance to audition for LeBron. :)

Sorry, that only happens to your teams.

The Cavs are beatable. Not by the Bulls, but I really don't like what they have around him. I think the Bulls win at least one game in this series.

Coangelo wouldn't let the Bulls score be shown at the Air Canada center tonight.

If there was no bounce back once they got healthy then it would mean that they had a crappy team and they traded away the key talent they had, which is absurd.

what only happens to my teams? being heavily favored against overlooked opponents and getting run like a bunch of circus clowns? no, that happens to the cavs.

and it never happened to the bulls.

Other reports now have Vinny initiating the contact. He might also have had a physical altercation with Foreman. This could become an even more important story if Paxson loses his job and that delays the Bulls' plans to go after the free agent class this summer.

Paxson will not lose his job.

He could quit and "lose" his job.

I don't see him losing his job, especially if the news that came out that VDN was the aggressor is fact.

According to various reports, Pax has tried to quit twice and JR convinced him to stay, making his role more accommodating to him.
