The cover-2 requires you have very good, fast d-backs, especially at the safety position, otherwise it will fail. Smith refuses todo anything else, and should be fired for that.

That's exactly my problem. You must adapt if you don't have the personnel to run your defense. You don't have the pass rush nor do you have the DBs for the cover-2. But Lovie keeps trying to hammer that square peg into a round hole.

I hope the decision makers don't think the Bears are getting waxed because of some cosmic conspiracy like you do and recognize it as severe structural flaws with the team. That way the necessary changes can be made.
