Didn't see this being talked about anywhere, but the guy has had an amazing weekend! Choking away the end of the season and then beating his wife. Oh, and he found a minute to counsel a 15 year old boy by telling the boy he was fat. Class act, I tell ya!

I would be insanely overjoyed if Detroit got so fed up with him that they traded him for Milton Bradley. If that's how Hendry gets out of this mess, all will be forgiven.

He had a bac over 2.4 in between the 2 most important games of the year yikes. He was also 0-11 on the weekend without even hitting anything out of the infield. If Detroit loses today, and he doesnt do anything positive, hes going to have a rough offseason in Detroit.

I bet he doesn't winter in Detroit.

mountain out of a mole hill

he's carried them offensively basically all year and people are spewing this idiotic "abandoned the team when it counts the most" garbage. i'm pretty sure the countless other wins he contributed in were equally as important

Miggy is one of the most valuable players in the game, but being drunk as hell at 8:00 a.m. and still not having been to bed with a game 11 hours away seems worthy of some harsh criticism. Or, I guess I feel the criticism is not idiotic, at least.

Every game counts as much as another throughout the season, but the Tigers' position going into last weekend was clear- win two of three and no matter what they would make the playoffs. Given the circumstances, those games did mean more, in my opinion.

(edit) just saw that you're in Detroit- I suppose many want to run him out of town, etc. but I still stand by my point- those games were of highest importance.

Maybe he should drink before the game more often. He's currently 2/2 1HR 2RBI. LOL

I'd wager he didn't drink before today's game.

Agreed. Even with the amount of douchebaggary that has occurred around Cabrera, it's still a fraction of that which follows Bradley around on a daily basis... AND he produces!

holy hell. didn't he drive home too?

I don't think it was ever said how he got home. This latest ESPN story doesn't say anything about driving home.

Amen. Grosse Pointe, I bet.

It's going to be interesting what happens with Cabrera and the Tigers, I expect nothing. However the GM is going to meet with Cabrera and also the other too is that after the last game between the Tigers and White Sox he went out to bar or something like that with the Whi9te Sox team.
