I am hoping the cards win the whole thing, that way we can justify why we came in second is that we were in the devision with the best team in the MLB

It doesn't surprise me in the least that you're the one that said something like this.

ya, because I am sure you would love to see the Yankees win it. It is obvious

that you have never done an individual sport becuse in individual sports you tend to root for the guy that just beat you. It is complex an yet charitable thought process so I doubt you would be able to understand.

If you are going to throw moronic quips out like that expand on them so I can be sure of the place that I so offended you.

I've ran track before, so that cancels that 'argument' out.

As far as the Yankees winning it, I probably wouldn't mind it that much this year. As long as it's not the Cards or Boston, it's fine with me.

professional baseball is not an individual sport nor is it charitable.

Maybe if the teams would congratulate each other after each game like tennis or Olympic style wrestling there would be less anomosity

The Red Wings beat the Hawks in the WCF, and then shook hands after. I did not root for the Red Wings after that. What else ya got?

Baseball is really the only sport that doesn't. After every football game players shake hands, at the end of the post season series in basketball the shake hands same in hockey, in soccer they exchange jerseys. Those are all team sports right.

Maybe we should just make them run laps until there is less anomosity.

I guess we can agree to disagree because I will root for the Cards this time because I hate anything LA and ESPN has killed any enthusiasm for NY or Boston. Vlad and LAA well it is LA and Detroit well it's Detroit. That leaves Col. and St. Louis and after the disastrous series I got to witness in person at Col.

ugh. they deserve it. good mix of home grown players, veterans, and acquired players. cardinals have a very good chance at winning it all this year imo. they have the best player in baseball in pujols, as well as the best #1-2 starters.

So you're going to root for St. Louis for a completely different reason than the one that was being argued?

Chris Carpenter hit a grand slam today and ended up with 6 RBIs for the game. That's a new record for RBIs by a Cardinal pitcher.

Pixie dust.

No accusations of cheating today either, so far as I know.

All this stuff is premature. It ain't over till.......the fat lady says it's over!

I have no idea why this clown is allowed to post.

Who are you? The Captain of the anti-clown police? What do I have to do? Put it in blue w/10 happy faces behind it? Lighten up...I did.

What is all this nonsense of picking a team to cheer for during the postseason? Once the Cubs were eliminated, my life was over until next season. No other team deserves me cheering for them.

Yep. Although I do root against certain teams. Yankees, I am looking at you.
