Great win. That was one they deserved to take and it ended up working out as it should.

As for the Ladd hit, I agree, if it was the other way around I'd be pissed. He went high, regardless of whether he left his feet before the hit. He clearly did afterwards. I liked that he didn't take any crap during the scrum and was throwing some bombs at whoever came after him. In the end, I won't be all that pissed if he gets suspended for a game.

While I don't advocate illegal hits, I've got no problem with it, 'bout time they laid someone out. They've certainly been on the receiving end of such hits far too often.

Adam Burish as Rodman.

Wow. Am I the only one slightly uncomfortable with this? I mean, it's funny, but I could see certain folks not being too happy about the spray tan blackface and the 40 with paper bag.

I'm not. It's Halloween. I'm sure people are going to be uptight about it but they shouldn't be.

So the score just said that there was talk of the Blackhawks being involved in a trade but didn't say anything further in the last update. Anyone know what this is about? I didn't find anything on rotoworld.

Well, there was this today on ESPN:

Alexander Frolov should be back from a sore hip flexor by the end of the week, but he may not get any ice time -- and that's not good, considering Frolov is already a disgruntled camper.

The third line with Scott Parse, Jarret Stoll and Dustin Brown will stay intact, coach Terry Murray told the Los Angeles Times, which means Frolov may be scratched. Murray benched Frolov earlier this month because of his lackadaisical play, which only furthered the divide between the winger and management.

Frolov is reportedly not talking to GM Dean Lomardi or Murray, Hendrick's Hockey reports.

That said, a trade may be on the horizon, but the only team that's shown interest in him is the Oilers, sportacentrs.com reports.

Lombardi chimed in earlier in the week on the situation: "It borders on not caring and that's not tolerable."

But obviously they don't say the Hawks are interested.

Yeah, they just teased again saying there was a big deal in the works but didn't give any further details. Chances are they are referring to those articles cause they don't have a "hockey insider" like they do for the Cubs, Sox, Bulls, and Bears.

I did some poking around and also found this article which the others were based off.

Don't link to Hockeybuzz as it is very crappy when it comes to rumors.

In fact this site rips hockeybuzz a new one and has, IMO discredit hockeybuzz as a legt rumor site. Anything you get from hockeybuzz is pretty much useless.

kaberle has been in trade rumors for like 8 years. i'm pretty sure there was talk of trading eric lindros to the leafs for kaberle and antropov (we ended up trading him to the rangers). then about 2 years ago, supposedly we had a deal to send jeff carter and a first round pick to toronto for kaberle but he invoked a no trade clause (if this is true, thank you tomas).

the leafs have tended to ask for a lot in return and he also likes toronto a lot, so at this point i will be surprised if he is moved.

i think burke is going to force him out. he doesn't fit the whole "truculence belligerence [stupid hockey]" thing burke has been going for.

Kopecky isn't playing as tough as I thought he was. Just seems to be getting pushed around a bit too much.

And the PP is sucking.
