Why do teams punt when they are down with 3 minutes to go and haven't been able to stop the opposing offense all game? Sure if your defense has been doing well but when its been getting killed you shouldn't punt.

It was 4th and like 15.

And they have all 3 timeouts.

And ND's offense has scored on 2 possessions this half.

Okla State loses!

my rebs are moving up

assuming that bama beats FIU, the top 5 will be florida, texas, alabama, either USC or ohio st (in other words, USC) and either you guys or penn st. i don't see BYU moving ahead of either team (though they do look very good) and USC or ohio st will drop with a loss.

3rd and 9 for UCLA at their own 3, up 19-13 with 1:48. Tennessee has no more timeouts.

Run a play here. Take a safety on the punt. Then free kick the ball.

Never mind, now Tennessee challenging a fumble at the UCLA 2. Sigh.

No good replays and the refs blew the play dead already but I bet it doesn't matter to these refs.

I know they were trying to put the game away and all...

But what the hell kind of ignorant play calling was that? It's like ND is actively trying to lose.

It's still the wrong call. You can't expect the opposing team to try and pass especially when you give up 12 yards on the first carry following the punt.

If you don't punt and don't get the first down you still have a chance to stop them. When my offense has been doing well all game and my defense hasn't I would rather trust my offense to get a fourth and long than my defense to stop the other team.

Quit reviewing, UCLA clearly recovered the ball.

Timeouts (at least offensively) aren't hugely important in college football. I'm glad they went for the first down..but I don't like that play call on 2nd down. It was too much of a home run play. The 3rd down play was perfect.

My heart is racing, my palms are sweaty, and I feel like throwing up. It's great to have college football back. :)

That was [expletive] horrible. What the hell was that, Norm Chow.
