In the scope of things on this team, I'm sure Milton .819 OPS is why we are in the mess we are in. So he's had a bad year, yet his OPS is way above league average. What do you think he does next year, when he has a much better year? I sure hope we find out and its for us.

Where did I blame him for the mediocre season the Cubs have had?

If you really believed he was just a 'slight disappointment,' you wouldn't be on your soapbox as much as you are concerning Milton.

I also love how Milton now has an OPS approaching .820 and people are still bashing it. I guess he needs to have a triple crown type season next year to win the fans back, apparently.

lol @ my soapbox

And don't you get it? Cubs fans will nover love Milton because he's not white.

Yeah, you're right - we hated that Sosa guy

not to mention, Dawson and Banks

and Billy Williams

Chicago itself hates black athletes. Just ask Michael Jordan.

How the hell does that not get down?

Glad to see I didn't miss much at my night class. Turned on the game just in time to see a runner at 2nd with no outs not score. You've got to admire the Cubs consistency

It's what we do.

Rangers down 11-0 in the 5th, put up a 7 spot and are right back in it

Meanwhile, the Cubs and their lineup who's payroll is triple the Rangers probably are gonna be unable to erase a 5 run deficit in 5 innings to the Astros

Down 4 runs in the 6th = "right back in it"

Down 5 runs in the 5th = probably hopeless?

So the team that has gone 1-6 their last 7 games with the pitcher who has not won in the division yet on the bump is going to beat the team that has one of the best starters of the second half going despite the fact I'm pretty sure the Cubs have a higher line-drive percentage than the Astros tonight. Lovely.
