We win 1 game against a AA team and you're firmly back on the bandwagon? :)

I've never been off it for better or worse. Then talk of the Phillies with 7 games in 17 days in '07 didn't help either!

I'm not gunna lie. If the Cubs sweep the Mets and the Giants sweep the Rockies( Very possible with the pitching matchups and the Giants home record), I will be right back on the bandwagon. the Cubs would be 3 out in the loss column behind both Colorado and the Giants with 4 games against the Giants remaining. Of course, this is very unlikely to happen, but hey, what the hell? I might as well have some hope.

Having hope is AOK by me but to expect the Cubs to play much better than .500 ball the rest of the season after how it's played over the first 130 games is just a bit unlikely. Sure there are examples of teams tha did put it all together after 100+ games of .500 ball. The 07 Rockies is the most recent and biggest. Of course that was a young team with untapped potential. This is a team of veterans who hypothetically figured it out already if they are gonna at all.

That said there is still 1% of me no more no less that's wonders how the cardinals and Rockies are doing.

haha

We shouldn't have expected any help from the Nats anyway, but if our "Big 3" were coming up in that spot, we'd be heading to extras. In fact, our .205 light hitting SS wouldn't have tied it up in the 8th in the first place.

Pujols admire that one a bit?

Never, hes too classy for that stuff and respects the game wayyyy to much to ever do something like that, come on.

That's what I hear, but that was just as bad as the Soriano granny. He should be getting one in the ribs for that.

How bad was it?

It was pretty bad if you give two s's about that kind of thing. It was a solid three Mississippi followed by a scowly bat toss.

He should have untucked it.

I don't really have any problem with a hitter admiring his work a little bit before jogging around the bases. Can't be any worse than Soriano doing the can't see me thing with his hands after his walkoff.

It wasn't worse, but you can't be a team that has kittens over the untuckem thing while your best player does that.

Here's to the Cards having a 6-18 caliber month iN September. (A reverse of August, as you can imagine)

all i care about them is losing at least 3 games in their first playoff series or at least four in the next one.

That goes without say, TS, but I want them to have as bad of a September as they had as good of a August.

Just watched the replay of Pujols' shot....it really wasnt that bad to me. He it's not as if he stood there and watched, he was at least walking towards first while he peered at his shot. Of course, i'm biased because I don't really give a damn if a player watches his shot. Particularly game-winners.
