Your opinions: Do the Mets presently have a worse team than the Reds? Both have lots of injuries (although the Mets have more). Personally, I'd prefer to see the Cubs play the Mets.

Lohse walks Berroa and Figuerroa on 9 pitches. Bases loaded for Pagan, 2 down. Edited by MWV

Nelson Figuerroa has now been more productive in one game than Aaron Miles has been for half a season.

Low bar for Figuerroa.

The Mets are a clusterpuck. They both started well and have plummeted. The Mets fell from a higher high, but Cincy is at a lower low. I'd say the Mets are technically a little better, but they are such a mess it's hard to be definitive.

Is Angel Berroa the worst ROY winner of all-time?

Jerome Walton, Pat Listach, and Bobby Crosby all give hima serious run for his money.

Ben Grieve, LOL

Nice choice.

Crosby had injury problems he never fully recovered from, so I'm willing to give him a pass.

Huh, apparently Lou Piniella won the award back in 1969. Go figure.

It's gotta be Bob Hamelin.

Here's a fun Mets stat I just realized

Mark Reynolds hit 4 HRs in 3 games there last week; or, as many as David Wright has hit there all season.

Yeah, aside from all the injuries, Citi Field's effect on Wright's power is probably the biggest story involving this team.

I have to think that after two straight collapses and what is turning out to be a disastrous season, the Mets will strongly consider blowing up the roster. One of their better players might become available.

If the Cubs could somehow get Jose Reyes, that would be sweet. I know some Mets fans want to get rid of him ASAP. But he's typically a 155 game SS who is a significant upgrade to Theriot. Then the midget brigade can platoon at 2B.
