Alex Maestri was returned to Tennessee from Iowa but no corresponding move has been made. Jay Jackson remains on Tennessee's roser.

Su-Min Jung is expected to be activated off the Boise 7-day DL, possibly as early as today.

Just wanted to thank OO and CR for keeping these threads updated. I really appreciate having all of this info. By no means am I a minor league guru, but when I can easily get the stats with some good commentary, I appreciate it, especially when trying to determine our prospects' value around trade deadline time.

Thanks guys! =D> =D> =D>

No prob! A lot of people have been pitching in lately, which is awesome considering I spent the past two and a half months studying for one of the most horrific experiences in my life. However, since that ended yesterday, I'll be back to full strength and have the boxes updated a bit more regularly. :D

Smokies are going up against Jarrod Parker tonight. Should be a good game, we'll see if the Smokies can keep up their offense outburst against him

Parker did have a pretty bad outing his last time at home, gave up 5 runs. Either way, a few of the Smokies are gonna see a few triple digit heaters tonight :)

Last time Jarrod Parker faced the Smokies, Jim Adduci lined a single off him and Parker landed up on the DL.

Carpenter to Tennessee according to Muskat.

That's twice Muskat has been pretty early reporting a promotion this year. I recommend becoming a fan of the Cubs on Facebook, that's how I first learned about both the Vitters and Carpenter promotion.

And Jay Jackson officially demoted to Daytona. Arrrgh.

It looks like Jay Jackson might be going to the pirates according to the Transaction page.

Unless it's for off the field stuff.

Are players allowed to go out drinking on the road? I don't know the protocol on that, but mentioned that I had friends while he was in Mobile who met him at a bar and he bought her and her friends drinks all night? Perhaps too much partying?

That's what I was thinking though I've read multiple times that his character is highly thought of.

So its your fault then. If you wouldnt have posted about that here then this [expletive] would have never happened to Jay Jack. Damnit can we just shut this board down so we dont effect anymore trades or demotions?

LOL. If that's the case then they read these boards.

So uh... I also heard Aaron Miles was snorting crack off a disease infested male prostitute....

Jay Jackson is indeed in the Daytona starting lineup.

But Josh Vitters isn't for a third consecutive game. It'd be awesome if the D-Cubs would give better updates than their non-existant ones thus far.

At this point, I think we have to assume that there was some type of injury. Maybe that would explain his poor start in Daytona so far.

The Jackson demotion is very puzzling. Carpenter has been been on fire this year, but Jackson's numbers in AA were pretty decent. Unless the move was for discipline reasons, it doesn't make any sense. It would have been some rotation at AA with Cashner, Carpenter, and Jackson in it.
