    I'll look forward to watching him next year at Utah. He seems like he could turn into a pretty decent player. And CJ Cron from the University of Utah who will be drafted next year is a beast. He plays Catcher hit .431 with 20 home runs only stuck out 23 times and only made 4 errors the whole year. I don't think their is any way he isn't a first round pick next year. He is the only player to get 3 hits off of Strasburg in one game.

    What's so crappy about it? The only reach in my opinion is the first round pick. And our 2nd and 3rd round picks seem like that was the best choice left on the board. Our first round pick wasn't on anybody's top 200 list and I don't think Golden was the best choice in the second either. I'm ok with the catcher but our 4th round pick sounds like your average soft tossing lefty and our latest pick sounds like a poor man's Sam Fuld. Nobody is a poor man's Sam Fuld. And Golden is high risk high reward with possible 70 out of 80 power in the future.

    He hasn't focused a lot on baseball and i think that Tony Campana is his most likely outcome but I see him having a lot more potential than Campana. He also hit 4 home runs this year so that doesn't seem to bad.

    Doesn't sound like he will have much speed potential in a few years. I was reading somewhere they think he will just keep gaining weight and he will lose his speed but that's just based on projection so we'll see.

    He actually kind of looks like him and has a similar swing but I think he could have more power than Byrd.

    Plate discipline is usually a concern for a high school player so that doesn't bother me and he hit that homerun at Wrigley to the last section of the bleachers.

    yeah, i don't get the "well, i trust wilken, he hasn't let us down so far" line. if his 1st round success stories are a fourth outfielder and a middle reliever, i'm not going to be too wowed. Tyler Colvin could and should be starting and Cashner is about to become are setup man and he's only been up for a week. And Brett Jackson is already one of our better prospects. I would say he's done a pretty good job so far. could and should is meaningless. He's been a bad pro, and his success has been very limited. He could very easily be exposed if he starts. and first round picks should not be setup men. Which one has been a bad pro? Colvin has produced pretty darn well so far in limited action. In regard to Cashner, he has dominated the minor leagues all year this year as a starter. There is nothing at all to suggest that he wouldn't be effective as a starter in the majors. The decision to use him as a set up guy, wasn't made by Wilken. I agree with this, I think some of you think that we should be drafting Albert Pujols with our first round pick. The MLB draft is a crap shoot half the time and if his picks are in the majors and making an impact than those are good picks.

Wilken didn't switch Cashner to the bullpen and Cashner is more successful than most of the players drafted before him in that draft. And for Colvin he hasn't been exposed yet and is one of the homerun leaders on our team with half the PA.

    Brett Jackson went 2-4 with 3 stolen bases and a walk.

    His IsoP hasn't been over .118 since he destroyed the ball in 8 rookie ball games, so I don't know how much power he has. He's interesting though, if for no other reason than there's just not very many guys in the system hitting right now. Yeah, I thought he had more doubles but he is still hitting more home runs than most of the Cubs prospects but i guess that's just more of the Cubs not having any power prospects.

    I don't think we will pass up Grandal if he slips that far and I also think we will pick O'Conner if he is there. Does anybody really think that Grandal will fall that far?

    Does anybody know what kind of a prospect D.J. Fitzgerald is? I've been following him this year and last and he seems like he has pretty good power. He seems to DH a lot, so does he not have a position?

    I was just reading Cunningham's profile on the mlb website and he seems like he could have good value in the 3rd. He looks and sounds like an AJ Pollock type, even though I wouldn't want that type of player with the first pick.

    Wimmers, Vitek, Colon, and O'Connor would all fall into the Cubs' laps here. Interesting scenario. I think that O'Connor is the pick if he is there, which I'm completely fine with. I don't want a weak hitting middle infielder.
