That probably couldn't have gone any better. Wells gets a win, lots of guys get hits, and rest. Atkins doesn't implode. All that was missing was some rest for Koyie Hill.

I value the job Koyie has done for the team, and he's a true warrior, but the dude cannot hit at the major league level.

Yeah but Soto was the main catcher last year when he could hit and we won a boatload of games

I'm confused as to how that's possible, unless it's over the last three seasons. Cubs.com and Baseball Reference both have Hill appearing in a total of 44 games this year.
