wow, i thought GRB was mostly more level headed than that.

 

 

that whole thread is absurd.

 

Yea it was pretty funny. I probably crossed the line by calling that guy a whiny little bitch, but when you are being a whiny little bitch, and making no sense at all, I feel you need to be called out on it lol

Yea its cracked me up the way they have treated Manny also. Everytime he comes to bat, fields a ball, or does anything he gets boo'd. Then on GRB, and some of my Stl fans friends have had the balls to say "hes a cheater, and deserves to be boo'd etc..." Yet they cheer like schoolgirls for Ryan Franklin, Rick Ankiel, and Julio Lugo the wife beater.

I dont understand how there isnt more talk of Wells as Rookie of the Year. I know Happ has the wins, but Wells has damn good numbers

 

He hasn't struck out anybody yet today.

 

As an unheralded midseason callup, he needs win totals and/or fantastic ERA/K totals.

Did Reed leave the game just because of Lous lefty/righty OCD or was there another reason?

 

 

Hurt his foot with a foul ball in the 2nd while batting is the speculation currently

Fouled a pitch off his foot is the speculation, but nothing has been said for certain.

Oh no, they are 100% serious about it, and basically the reason I got banned from there yesterday :D Check out the other games thread from yesterday there to see all the luck and schedule talk. Nevermind that Stl has faced the easiest schedule in baseball

He hasn't struck out anybody yet today.

 

As an unheralded midseason callup, he needs win totals and/or fantastic ERA/K totals.

 

 

Pitching in a blowout game isn't going to help pad his strikeout totals either. With a huge early lead, he's going to be more apt to go right after hitters rather than try to strike guys out.

Yea he has no K's today, but with a 9-0 lead, Id expect him to mainly pitch to contact. You are right he needs the win totals or ERA/K totals, but his ERA is under 3.00 thats pretty impressive for a Rook

Not to mention the whole Mark McGwire thing. I love that during the AllStar game we had to hear about what a great story Franklin is. How he battled and deserved this chance, yet didn't mention he was a juicer. Yet they ripped Arod and Manny.

I was just pointing out the lack of K's today to emphasize that he pitches to a lot of contact. ROY starting pitchers generally rack of huge K totals, not to mention wins or at least very impressive records. If he maintains his pace through August and September though, he will have a lot more wins and definitely be in the discussion.

 

He could easily throw 8 innings today, and with the bullpen in the condition it's in, that would be huge.

My wife and brother are huge cards fans. I really want a playoff series against them. Would add so much to the rivalry.
