That was really lazy of Pence.

 

My guess is we see Atkins for a couple innings tonight.

 

I think Wells will go as long as possible. Hart pitching tomorrow means you have to have someone fresh down there.

I say Wells goes 6 or 7 and Atkins finishes it out. There is really no better time to pitch Atkins than in a 9-0 game. Plus, with an off day for the rest of the bullpen today, there should be some fresh arms

I agree Atkins will probably see action in this game, but I doubt they shorten Wells up at all. You know how Lou gets panicky and if Atkins comes in and gives up 3 or 4 runs in say the 7th inning, Lou will feel he has to use someone else.

 

With that said, this all wont matter if our offense quits sucking and puts up more than only 2 runs per inning. :D

Ive got to imagine alot of the Cubs will be coming out soon. We are in the middle of 30 games in 31 days, Id like to see the whole team pulled soon.

Bud Norris? Nice name, but hes suppose to be pretty damn good with the best fastball in the Astros system. He was ranked their #2 prospect coming into the season.

Being down 9-0 is probably the better time to use him. If Atkins pitches there's a good chance Lou will eventually feel forced to use Gregg.

Yup let Fox catch, pull ARam and Bradley. Id get Theriot out of there soon too.

I dont understand how there isnt more talk of Wells as Rookie of the Year. I know Happ has the wins, but Wells has damn good numbers

Oh no, they are 100% serious about it, and basically the reason I got banned from there yesterday :D Check out the other games thread from yesterday there to see all the luck and schedule talk. Nevermind that Stl has faced the easiest schedule in baseball
