Oh please, 10 games against some of the most shoddy pitching & defense (especially the Nats series) is enough of a sample to supersede the rest o the season?

Yes. You realize we are facing a guy with an era under 2.8 right? To expect them to be hammering him is foolish.

Since you added to your post after I responded--if this is your argument, how is my original statement incorrect then? Was I not expressing the non-shock that 1 run was all we got that inning?

Your "non shock" was pointed towards the Cubs offense, and not the pitching of Wandy.

Fair enough...but again, it's been the result for the vast majority of the season. I don't see how a 10 game stretch nullifies that. I'm done, sorry Fred

Its about as brilliant as getting pissed because we arent knocking the cover off the ball against a guy with an era under 2.8

Did we even get Aramis to 3rd?

Yea I know, we should have bunted......

Just our luck that Z is throwing a one hitter, and the one hit is a home run.

I guess the fact that Wandy has been throwing well before this start gives me some solace that we can't hit him tonight.

Where did I say that we should have bunted? You guys seem to think that we need to tear the cover off the ball in order to score a runner from 2nd with no outs. A ground out to the right side and a sac fly would have given us the lead, no?

Yes it would have. But it happens. Everybody should have been expecting this to be a low scoring game, and it is.

When you play for one run you guarantee that's the best you'll get.

And

Having Bradley give himself up to attempt to hit a weak grounder to 2B so that we can hope our worst contact hitter hits a deep flyball is awful strategy.
