It definitely looked like Bourn was going to catch it in shallow center, but Ill take that over one of those routine pop ups that the cameras make look Waveland bound.

The good news is that all of the Cubs best relievers should be ready for tomorrow with Dempster on a pitch count. Marshall's the only one of the top 4 that has pitched two days in a row and he has only thrown 14 pitches combined in those two outings.

 

Samardzija's 24 pitches might actually be the catalyst for him being sent down. They might choose now to keep Berg up since his arm is fresh while Samardzija might be unavailable tomorrow night (since he pitched yesterday as well and has never pitched 3 days in a row in the major leagues and probably never in his life).
