Whats the joke? This boy is one of the best leadoff men out there. Rarly strikes out, puts the ball in play, and plenty of speed to drive those pitchers nuts.

I love his hustlin' game.

I don't know either to laugh with you or at you. FWIW, Pierre is not, I repeat, NOT the best leadoff man out there. Not even close. Plus, I do not want part of his defense, as his arm strength is considered one of the worst arms in MLB history.

Maybe Zambrano can give Pierre to Milton Bradley.

I don't think you can sacrifice a bad player to the baseball Gods. I believe, actually, that it was late in Spring Training when Lou sacrificed Milton for a late July surge. He temporarily drained Dempster and Ramirez for August, Harden and Soto for September, and now Lilly to advance to the NLCS. I'm also pretty sure that he sacrificed Miles, but all that gave the Cubs was extra batting practice over the All-Star break.

I'm pretty sure they're just going to give Aaron Miles away to a good family who lives out on a farm if he keeps up his production down in AAA.

Did you see Lous quote about Miles today?

Aaron Miles is hitting .205 in the first nine games of his rehab stint at Iowa. "I think Jim (Hendry) is waiting for Aaron to start swinging the bat a little better," Piniella said.

So that means we will never see Miles again, right?

I don't know....can he just be held in AAA forever? He didn't accept an assignment since this was just a rehab assignment so they have to bring him up eventually or release him.

But if he's playing in this little ballpark here he could show more power.

This is the post that erased any doubt that this is a joke account.
